Re: So there IS life after WoW !!!
I too have to agree, especially having to go around very low obstacles that would seem natural to just hop over... Because other games (and their players) abused it to the point of ridiculousness, doesn't make it an undesirable or unuseful ability... Hrmm... I have to disagree. IRL I rarely, if ...

Re: Badly Designed newb area!
I rather like it. There you are, a new refugee, undoubtedly disoriented from your escape, thrust into the middle of a well-established post bustling with activity as fellow refugees of various levels of experience prepare themselves to rejoin their peoples on the mainland. Short-staffed and ...

Re: Installed SP2 now have lag issues
Well, after 48 hours of hair tearing I finally just removed SP2. Voila! All is good again.
I have no idea what was happening but any graphic intensive program was totally borked. SP2, for my computer, is the devil.

Installed SP2 now have lag issues
Sunday I played and, except for the rare hiccup, had no problems. Monday morning I decided it was past time to update to SP2 (Windows XP) since Microsoft is no longer providing updates for SP1. Monday night I logged in and every three seconds the game lags horribly. I pulled up the Task Manager and ...

Re: This game sucks
I hope you aren't referring to all WoW players. Not all of us are immature or out to belittle other games. Some of us have reached our limits on both counts and are looking for a viable escape.fuzzles wrote: I wish you could just put a padlock on WoW to prevent them from escaping.

Re: This game sucks
Ryzom = steak house. WoW = Mcdonalds :D Coming from WoW I can somewhat understand the OP's frustration. WoW spoon feeds you (though extended time in the game teaches you things you wish you'd known when you started) while Ryzom challenges you. Some people don't like challenge. I will say this in ...

Re: Not big on Crafting. Will it be a problem?
Thanks for the replies. Usually I'll collect items (It's like treasure hunting. So much fun!), sell some of the mats to pay my own costs, donate some of the mats to my guild, and use some of the mats to get gear/items crafted. I have found that I kinda like jewel-crafting (Love the shinnies.) so ...

Not big on Crafting. Will it be a problem?
Magic? Love it! Fighting? Enjoyable. Foraging? Great when I need some ingame Zen-time. Crafting? Not so much.
I've never been able to get into crafting in any game. Will this be a problem in Ryzom? Will I be hurting my Homin by letting my Crafting skill lag?

Question about Healing/Defensive magic
Last night (my second night ^.^) I was doing a bit of foraging when someone asked if there was a Healer available. 0.o? So I asked in Region what they meant, it was my understanding everyone received healing spells. A person kindly replied that after level 20 you can choose to specialize in Healing ...

Re: Requiem for a Game
But if people want PvP, they play WoW because that's a damn good PvP game. I'm sorry, I just have to laugh at this. WoW's PvP is so broken they are tearing out the entire system and replacing it in the Xpak. Unless you are a Warlock, a Shadow Priest or in an AQ40/Naxx raiding guild you are SoL in ...
