ive patched the game through the client, and ended up getting a problem with the client_ryzom_rd.exe and the other related exe's so i used the ryzom_recover executable and then retried using the client and still having problems with the main executables,
the exact message is Force bnp unpacking, checksum do not correspond:"insert file name here" (there were many) and once its gone through them it prompts me to click restart the client, which it doesnt actually restart, but i have to open the exe myself and then it does the whole checksum thing again.. ive done this for about 2 hours now hoping it would some how fix.... if anyone could give me any advice i would appreciate the help!

I get this too, then Ryzom brings up a patch window ( with no patches )
Followed by a Windows "window" showing a runtime error.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have this too - and it's on a "virgin" SoR install since my "D" drive died and I had to re-install
Help!
Attention Lawrence/support Re: Patching problem
Please look into this issue, I've found that it relates to fonts.bnp in the \ryzom\unpack\ folder. For some reason the patch install can't delete the file.

Well patch 31 cleared the problem for me, after I'd managed to convince myself it was my PC having problems!
Actually, I think it was down to my PC (or rather the twisted way Windows works sometimes). I guess the devs must have added a small piece of code that other developers (*cough* SOE *cough*) wouldn't bother with (I mean, what's the point in checking class links? If they're wrong you can get round it with a full system rebuild.........)
This makes it several million to nil in favour of Neverax vs. SOE now - but again, I'm well impressed.
(Some peeps will be wondering why I'm complimenting Neverax on fixing a bug in thier code - well my problem wasn't down to a "bug", but the crappy way Windows works under some circumstances. The problem means that I won't be able to install any SOE software without extensive surgery or a system rebuild..........)
