The friendly folks over at Nevrax have asked us to gather some feedback about the ideal amount of landmarks you can place in the game.
How many landmarks do you need? How many would be just right? How many is too much and would just create a mess?

I'd say 30 to 50 would be enough personally. Any more than that and you start to confuse yourself with the forest of little flags on your map
What would be very cool (I think) would be if you could place say 50 landmarks on each land, ie 50 in Matis, 50 in Fyros etc

the more the better!
i was a harvester in beta tryker lands and after a while its impossible to mark all the spots.
once i found most of the excellent places in liberty lakes i had to start deleting all the choice spots or put like 1 flag near avendale which has all the names of the choice mats found in avendale, and then try to find the spots from memory.
however these landmarks weren't even including all the different uncraftable materials that will be needed later on for missions nor any landmarks on the outer regions of tryker mainland...

In my 5 days in game i have already used up the ones i get to mark places of interest. I havent even got around to marking common mob locations.

With so many stuff to harvest I allready ran out of LM on refugee island.
And another thing - the spawning points are "spamming" the map and make it near to impossible to put a landmark even close to a city

Lawrence, thank you so much for putting this out there... lord only know why it isn't in our NA threads as well. There is not only a need for many more landmarks, but a way to group/classify them. If we had a way to make our own tabs on the radar, as well as drop different colored flags & symbols it would be MUCH MUCH easier for classification.lawrence wrote:How many landmarks do you need? I would also like to have the ability to right click the ground (where we currently have "free look, move, emotes" and be able to drop a marker. With the new harvesting system you literally have to be on the perfect spot to oftentimes find what your looking for. Trying laying a marker down with the current system, even with maximum map zoom and you'll not come as close as you may like. Now to complete the wishlist, right clicking on the map landmarks should have (where currently we have "remove, rename, target in compass") an option to "display on ground" to have maybe an animated X appear in front of you, to work hand in hand with the previous addition for the precision you want.
