Tweeks and Mod commentary

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

As much as I *hate* to start drama, it would seem the original poster's definition of 'fanboi' would be anyone who disagrees with his opinion on the game and will defend their opinion.

I'm amused.

(edit: in response to dpkdpk)
That is perhaps one of the more enjoyable things of the old combat system, the ability to fight and successfully dispatch mutiple mobs at once. And another reason that I would prefer that the combat were slowed a little, or balanced in some other way, so that that aspect of combat could be revived for people soloing.

That is the other side? Most lately like a poster a couple above me it is people intentionally trying to stir things up against anybody who remains in the game and doesn't claim their game is perfect.

Also a note just to clarify in case any others are dense:
One an apology from Nevrax itself to all the players who were driven away.
Is not an apology to me personally, I didn't leave. A personal apology is worthless to me, because I don't want one. I want many of the people who've left to come back, and I know a simple apology would do it.

However, the forums are reduced down to the people who'd like to use every thread such as this one to attack (and you can see the names of the people who are using it for such) and the people who are more interested in the patch and progression.

Thanks to all the people reacting to the patches rather than going off on the forum crusade to attack "unbelievers" here.

Back on topic, I am very disturbed not to see any comment on crafting in the patch notes. Its becoming clear the devs don't consider this a problem, which is very, very, very disappointing.

There are number of people on both sides of the fence doing the same thing: Attacking anyone who doesn't have a view akin to their own. And do it every chance they get. I'm not pointing fingers at either side. I'm pointing it at both. Because both sides are guilty of it.

I'd just like to see all these people stop posting flamming comments directed at the opposite side. It offers no solutions, and is totally unproductive. Posting your 'ire', the same 'ire' over and over, in multiple threads, even unrelated ones, is akin to throwing a tantrum. It's never pretty.

It stunns me that I am currently able to solo an oasis ONE star mob, but a two star gingo STILL kills me in SHORT order.

I am afraid this patch is a little too little and a little too late, but I am hopeful that I will once again be able to harvest in the area I SHOULD be able to. (Right now the Choice Big shells area in Pyr is guarded by mobs that PREpatch one took two groups to guard the harvesters, I haven't EVEN tried post patch one madness, even though I tend to group in Oasis.)

ALOT of the fun is gone, the last few days I haven't even wanted to log on. Region chatter is NOT fun and warm anymore, the joy and laughter is gone. MOST of my rather lengthly friends list is MIA most of the time.

I am just plan CONCERNED.

Alot of people are off in WoW beta, and are playing eq2. A number of them due to the current changes in combat. A number of them would still be there even without the changes. I knew a number of people playing WoW open beta pre-patch 1. Some will come back, some won't. All based on what they are looking for in a game.

Since they are (go Cerest on posting the upcoming changes!) changing (toning down) the current combat system. I'd imagine some are waiting on those changes to be implemented before fully making up their mind.

All we can do now is wait and see what those changes will entail. I still have faith Nevrax will pull through.

Exactly. They are fixing what players have complained about. If people are still angry and are going to leave unless they get a formal apology, then those players should just quit now becuase nothing will ever please them.

and a number of them wouldn't. Just today another member of my guild quit Ryzom and is going to WoW. The reason was simply because they loved to team in combat and could no longer get a decent team with the server populations. This isn't someone who wanted to leave for WoW, this is someone Nevrax pushed away.

Just as the trolls on the forums try and push away as many players as they can. The people who want others to leave are killing the game, the same ones who don't want Nevrax to apologize because they don't want people to come back. Funny how some people can get so aggressive about Nevrax not apologizing to someone else, when they're not even involved in giving the apology.

Bah !
I'll believe it when I see it.
This "announcment" sounds almost like a carbon copy of the notes for the mini-patch which changed nothing.
But I remain hopeful and I'm really trying to keep a positive attitude (the above comments not withstanding).
