what lvl healer are you bringing that can't keep up with damage...?

if you fight kipee and only kipee yes, you'll get stunned a lot. lot's of people consider that boring too. so why not try another mob type?

septic01: effectively my reply is my post Patch 20: hard data. The results surprised me, to say the least. Comments?

Interesting results in newbie land for concerned newbies.

Where do you find a level number for mobs? I use the names and color to tell me how tough they are, is there a number system also?

i'd say your data from newbie island seems reasonable.

a fighter wearing light armor should have a hard time fighting kitin.

a fighter wearing hvy armor shouldn't.

if i read it correctly, that's what you found to be true? you can also find low dmg dealing mobs to fight, if you don't have hvy armor. or you can buy some hvy from me ;)

Yes, I realize heavy armour is superior to light. A level 19 fighter being able to consistently solo the kipees though, was a pleasant surprise. And maybe it gives encouragement to newbies. Yes, there are solutions ... certainly at the lower levels.

Try playing at the higher levels in light armor. It's completely worthless for anything other than wearing around town. Before this patch you would atleast >dodge< wearing light armor. If you got hit, it hurt. Now I don't even dodge anymore. Every single time a monster swings at me, if it doesn't miss, I get hit for maximum damage. And these little *******s almost never miss anymore.

The only way I can play my mage anymore is by exploiting terrain and AI bugs. That's just not cool.

Kipee are a bad thing to fight period they stun and nothing you can do about it.

Ragus are hard to fight but what I do is when 1 attacks use my speed burst change into my heavy armor press self heal depending on how much life I have left. Then melee it to death as a mage I can't take a ragus but melee i can killed a Menicing ragus did 200 a hit I did 400 a hit. Since he doesn't have much life alot easier to kill took about 8 hits to finish him off dodged 5 times.

Equipment matters if your a fighter alot. Have Heavy armor with 70-100 parry you will be fine or 80-100 dodge. Then make your weapons have high dodge modi on them too or parry depending on what you use.

Good shield is a must
