thank you devs (IMHO)

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Patch One and its related patches are improvements. The game has a better feel to it. It makes more sense and is more of a challenge. These tweaks to the present game system raise my expectations for the addition of layers to the game with Patch Two which will be needed to fill out the Ryzom experience.

Well, i have been very disappointed to see so many leaving or saying that they are leaving.

I am glad to see the devs respond to the complaints in with quick fixes. I am sure that their intent is not to harm their customer base, but I also think some of the complainers are so quick to uninstall cause they seem to want things to be like they were, easier.

Now, I will agree that somethings have gone way over the top, you should be able to get more then 3 meters from town for you die from numerous ragus, gingos and other predators, that can kill in a couple bites to your antomy.

I can understand all the concern, one of mine lately, since the patches, is that I will not be able to get out of the same small area that I have been in since the game went live. I was looking forward to exploring and branching out as my abilities grow. Now, I must wait and lvl more in the same area.

I am not one of those extreme toons, never expected to be, just want to play, take the bitter pill of my ineptitude, and dig in, fight on. I just want to level go places see things, learn to survive..........

I just want you devs to placate the masses so I can continue to play this game.................too many leaving.

IMHO, I really believe you are doing a good job. I will be one of the ones who will be here for a long time to come.

Have played quite some mmorpgs in the past, and have to say that the respons time fromn the SoR dev team is absolutley amazing.

Developing a mmorpg should, indeed, be a fine balance between the vision of the developers and input from the player base; one shouldnt out weight the other.

My main concern so far has been how mobs keeps resiting more than half of my spells, which is quite irretating to say the least. Hope this small patch will change the ratio back to hitting more than half of them...

/agree, /thanks

Having played Star Wars Galaxies for the last year, I'm totally amazed at how fast the nervax dev team has been to move and respond to fixing up the game. In the first patch of the game, they added more features than I've seen the big bad SOE dev team produce in 3 months. I'm so used to having simple problems stay unfixed forever while new, buggy, content keeps coming out. Its very delightful to see how responsive the ryzom team has been to keeping the ball rolling. Keep up the good work ya'll.

I am finally done.

I have successfully reverse-engineered the SoR server code and now have a live Ryzom server running (minus patch 1) that I'll be opening up to everyone. While you will have to restart your characters (I don't have that data), the good news is you will be able to restart your characters.

This server is free to all! Here are the features:

* A fully compatible SoR server (using client 0.1a)
* Completely realized dynamic ecosystem (it just doesn't change)
* Player PVP (several versions of pattycake have already been implemented)
* Guild PVP (while dance-downs are not in yet, hopscotch is!)
* Full faction system (go with Dodge Caravan or Tami, the girl next door)
* Full Story (LFGing in character strictly enforced)

Well, as you can see, I can't pull it off in the same way Nevrax can, so for that, kudos. Your version is still better than mine, even with Patch 1 and the subsequent changes.
