i know there is alot going on and the patch had some major problems. i am not disputing that.
i am just in awe of how these devs are responding to our complaints and fixing the issues instead of just saying they will get to it "soon". from my experiences with other online games it allways seemed to be about adding more content without fixing the problems first. this, of course, meant just more bugs.
so they swung the nerf bat too hard. it seems to be a big thing with dev teams not to know their own strength but ryzom is the first to recognize what they have done and started working on rebuilding right away.
so thank you devs for all your hard work and thank you cerest for keeping us informed as best you could. i hope to spend many more months (at least) playing SOR.

The devs must be champs to code as fast as they do to make changes however small and, whenever possible, in the right direction too. Maybe Kathy Lee's underaged workers are now employed in France?

I could not agree with you more! I've said it in a past post a few minutes ago, but I will say it again. Thumbs up to the dev team, the CSR, and the GM's as well! I think they're all doing an excellent job!overide1 wrote: so thank you devs for all your hard work and thank you cerest for keeping us informed as best you could. i hope to spend many more months (at least) playing SOR.

Probably true in most cases, but I put that in there so nobody would be left out
Re: thank you devs (IMHO)
Well then yes thanks to the GMs and CSRs as well. I would have said good joba nyway because as far as I know there haven't been any SoR related CSR on player violence issues yet. I think I would have snapped by now.linuxpro wrote:Probably true in most cases, but I put that in there so nobody would be left out

whups! i did forget to mention the GMs.linuxpro wrote:Probably true in most cases, but I put that in there so nobody would be left out
the gms are very good people. every time i have made a bug report or had a question they have been very helpful and polite.
also, i really like the bug report/petition system they have. very easy to use and understand.
i do get jealous of the big glowy staffs they get though. lol

I'll agree to the deserved commendation for quick action, though I'm sure it's partially due to a very reasonable sense of financial disaster for something they've all been working very hard on for years. Large games by small companies don't get made without a lot of personal investment, and no one that invested wants to see their dream die before it's even taken its first step. I hope that they're able to take a "baby steps" philosophy from this whole situation, though. Making massive sweeping changes to systems that were functional and enjoyable apart from a few exploitable pieces of code has proven itself to be a poor idea. From the quick patches, we know that Nevrax is willing to correct its mistakes; now we'll have to see if they learn from them.

Hey ... whatever works. I simply don't want to see the good things about this game vanish ... concept, graphics, versatility, customer service, friendly players, ... etc, etc, etc. Selfish of me, eh?
