Minytaur I mean.
"Your action is too easy to gain experience in Master Trollery"

EVERYONE in the guild was required to have forage skills so they could help level crafters & provide mats for gear for themselves due to the insane degradation rate of armor.

So unless the whole guild is one big slave labour force you're mistaken. Ask any of our members if they like being in the guild. I'm 100% sure that our current members love it.

Since when is working together as a team to fulfill guild goals a bad thing? Isn't that the whole point? We are a highly organised guild that LOVES to play this game together.

Several members had joined and left because they felt that foraging was not for them with every fibre in their body. That was fine with us. We don't want anyone to not have fun in the game and they chose new homes which were a better fit.

And as leaders we put our money where are mouth is, Stig & I are both 150+ foragers and every guild crafter is also a high level forager. This was done PURELY through hardwork. I hadn't used mat specs at all and had to grind 50 levels in forage before this patch WITHOUT it. So thanks very much for all those who accuse high level players of getting where they are by explointing but that most emphatically is NOT the case and you can take your insinuations elsewhere.

So thanks again for the flame and keep your analyses of things which you know nothing about to yourself next time.

Grouping now isn't really a viable option either. No lvl 125 isn't a high level. It is actually very low compared to the monsters now.

What is a group composed of? A tank, healers, and people who can deal damage. A tank is supposed to be able to absorb hits right? What happens when on the first hit a level 125 monster kills the tank in one hit? Do you even have any idea what its like now?

Granted there are some easier mobs that haven't been as beefed up, but in almost every area you have to go to, you get attacked by wandering beefed up monsters that can kill you in 1-2 hits. These monsters give less than 300 xp for the whole group and requires extreme effort to beat.

Is that supposed to be fun now? We're not talking about monsters superiorly greater than the party. We're not talking about overwelming numbers. We're talking about ONE frekin mob that is the same level as the party wiping out the ENTIRE party.

So maybe before you open your mouth again, go and experience grouping for yourself. Test out the different monsters, try to move at least 500 meters away from town. Now try to gain one level. See how long it takes you.

They are going to to a fix patch today. They have listened and are attempting to fix the problems players have addressed. At this point people should stop screaming and relax.

I totally agree Mordred.

I am not high lvl yet because I played in the open betas and in FBT and know there is little content past lvl 100. This is my choice and I do not have a lot of time to play anyway so it suits me.

However, it will not suit many people who have more time and initiative to devote to Ryzom. There is nothing "wrong" with those who want to level. That is, in fact, one of the very few things to do on Atys. There is only 2 other things to do other than level...that is travel/sightsee and do missions. In order to travel one must be of reasonable lvl and missions require solo killing. Thus, in order to be able to do any of these 3 things it must be properly balanced.

Balance is not another word for nerf...or shouldn't be. Just because people are leveling faster than you are prepared for does not mean they should stop leveling. It means the developers need to add CONTENT so that there is anything else to do if one would choose to. Making progress in a game extremely difficult will not "make the game last longer" or "slow down people's leveling". It will make them find something else fun to do besides play Ryzom.

You don't want people to find something else fun to do. You want them to think Ryzom is fun. Heck, entertainment is cheap and easy. Ryzom is not cheap, nor is it easy. Some think others level too fast but it is really just that the game needs to fix some long standing bugs (like blind). Remaking a skill is not necessary. The game was fine as it was, it just needs devs to fix existing bugs and stop messing around with entire skill vs other skills.

Do what you promised nevrax and NOTHING more. If it isn't broken, don't mess with it. Add content, don't play with balance. Fix existing bugs don't overcompensate before the bugs are fixed. Stop slowing things down because the fun is dwindling. Instead, rev up your creativity machine and create content. Work out the bugs with mektoub mounts so they fly in patch 2. That should keep you devs so busy that you won't have time to mess with so-called "balance issues". Fire up the raid engine more often so your high levels will have another fun thing to do. Create a way for all members of a raid party to get xp. These are the things that will make your game last, not slowing xp and making things very difficult.

Never stop complaining...er, suggesting :)

Whoever thinks that the increased damage and reduces spell costs for the magi makes life easier is severely mistaken. A sprightly yubo actually resisted my 2x cold 10. ill leave it at that.
Am i supposed to write something witty here ?

Minytaur I mean.

We are slave labor...but Cieran pays very well :)
We harvest for our crafters because we want them to make stuff for us to wear and hit things with. We do it because we want to, or want the things it gets us.
Plus, every one of our crafters pays very well for our harvested mats. Yes, they pay guildees. Afterall, time is very precious. On top of that, we get armor and weapons. I don't know many slaves that have those benefits ;-)

IMO the numerous 'debates' about power levelers are red herrings. I am a casual player who sometimes has played with power levelers over the years. The VAST majority of PLers are knowledgeable, helpful, and good company. They simply have different priorities than I do; nothing wrong with that.

Lets stay focused on the real issue(s): game enjoyment. A MMORPG should be enjoyable regardless of level.

I agree 100%, same sentiment I've posted on several threads already.

All the post ive read after my reply only support what i was saying...

The game had serious problems in the first month, im not saying high lvl exploited the game, its just the way the game was. If you read all the lore and information about the game you should know they planned on a long lifetime for the game. What will you do when you'll be lvl 250 and not all content is in game ? complain again...

Of course you should be able to have fun, but the way you are progressing you would be at lvl 250 in a month if they kept the game the way it was.

I really doubt you cant solo at all... i heard people saying that around lvl 50, I am lvl 50 and i can solo after patch 1, its harder but more exciting.
