wow, really nicely put, I appreciate that!

I can assure you that over the years other people are bound to have felt the opposite about me. Not to say I have ever intensionally wanted to grief or disrespect anyone. I would take the grind and the success of a given guild so seriously that I would push really hard to get what I wanted, I wouldnt get to know people as friends, and Im sure some people were put of by how I was. I never allowed myself the time to get to know most people personally, and it was different agendas that caused that really.

Im a naturally competative person. So the guild I was in had to be the "best", the faction I was in had to always win op wars, and when that wouldnt happen, Id be so frustrated. Early faction wars and Cho I think are good examples.
Since Ive been back, Ive not been involved in any active guilds or any op wars and its great. :)
Its been a couple of years since the games been live, and I haven't previously bothered myself with getting to know a large majority of the Karavan players, so theres alot of people that I look forward to getting to know.

So basically, its coming up to 3 years this april that ive been playing, Im all about just having fun, and getting to know all the knew folk that have joined and the old folk that knew a different side to me, that perhaps they didnt like, a side that was driven and pretty relentless.
I'm really content these days. Im happy just to finish this grind, and do things at a slower pace... :)

omsop wrote:Hehe, i am sorry, i have recently discovered there is more to the game than grinding the level's and trying to have the most 250 Tree's.

For over 12 month i wasnt happy ingame and i rushed through a few 250 skills just cause i wanted to have them before my Sub's ran out. When i got those 250's, i was like, gawd, have to work something else, something i never wanted to do, so for a while i was logging into the game, standing @ my little hot-dog stand near yrk tp and walking away from the computer, i just couldnt face doing anything, at that time i felt i killed the game totally by rushing through the skills i like most in the game. Then i left and my Subs ran out.

I missed the game and i didnt know why until my talks out of game with Katla started, She made me remember a few things about the game i had forgotten (the people in it, they are all unique in their own way, yeah you can love them or you can hate them, but when your with the ones you love, there is fun to be had, you can chat, you can hunt, you can laugh together, you can feel sorry for someone or you can be happy for someone), i forgot all those things and just Hit the dirt and the crafting tools, if i missed 1 day of dig i would stay up for 24 hours or more to make up for lost time.. i burned myself out with the grind and forgot the friends i had which later came to dislike me so much cause i was set in my ways & got short tempered & i would fall out with someone which meant i lost their friends aswell.

i guess what i am trying to say is, my grinding days are over, i am no longer racing anyone for the most 250's or to be the first to have all trees in a skill.
My game is now about helping others where & when i can but most importantly, having fun.

Yes i will still be working crafts & melee's i dont have maxed out yet (even though some are very close to 250), but i will not be on the brain frying grinding spree i was on before, it cost me too much in the long run last time.
I know i could definately max all skills in this game, but it honestly isnt worth it, if i max all skills now, it will be at a leasurely pace while having fun, no more setting targets.

I wish you all luck on your lvl's guy's & gal's, but please, dont let yourselves get in the state i was in, its a game, enjoy it :)
Man its suprising how alot of what you say is frightningly similar to myself mate o.0.

Well I finished the 19 level grind a couple of weeks before the server went down. Can anyone guess the amount of SP?

Grats Final, wonderful words Posmo (by the way I believe all people have something special only Ryzom has a way to force you to know them well enough to find out what, as opposed to RL that has a - modern - way to force you to ignore it)

And not the last: grats Fasi, it's been quite a time since I've seen that face on the forums :)
