Dzaiur was taking his new role as 'right-hand-man' very seriously. He nodded once to Sherkalyn, took the burden of the guard from her, and plopped him over on his mount. With a quick look-over his notes, he nodded once more to Sherkalyn and rode off towards the Scorched Corridor. A few nights in a cave will do him good, he thought... and went off in search of a suitable location to deposit the guard, and steal his uniform.

Hours later, back in Pyr, Dzaiur went off in search of Nightblade and found him flirting with Ms Vrixy again. Waiting for Nightblade to finish his business, he pulled him aside and discussed the latest...

"Three guards taken care of, and Servelan and Bandan should be getting the fourth one soon. Now all we have to do is find 4 suitable homins to take their places on the day of the event, and we'll have the only entrance blocked off. The Tournament will go on undisturbed!"

"Good work D, relax a little will ya? I've already handed out the flyers to the proper homins. Soon the news will be all over Atys. I say we give homins a few weeks to prepare, then we'll hold The Tournament!!"

"Any hints on the rules of the tournament yet Boss?" Dzaiur asked hopefully

"Soon D, soon!"

And with that, Nightblade headed off to search for another femme to flirt with...

OOC::
The preparations are nearly complete.. i'll be sure to give everyone decent time to prepare for the tournament, after i explain the rules :D

Could use a few more RP posts >> (Big Thanks to bandan, sherk, and mar for awesome awesome additions!!)

EDIT :: The rules have been decided... This will be a tournament unlike Atys has ever seen :p ! (i hope...)
Look out for the rules soon, the sooner you read them, the sooner you will be able to prepare!

Dzaiur's very serious attitude could only make Sherkalyn giggle, probably because she had actually drunk more wine than the Matis soldier, but mostly because she was quite nervous. It was the first time that she participated in a kidnapping and she had made it really clear that there was no way on Atys that she would have killed a homin that wasn't a bandit or sold her perfectly attractive Fyros body for a silly set of armour. While Dzaiur was disappearing into the night she grinned and whispered : "Good night, big blue. Sweet dreams white face", and broke a teleporter pact.

A few moments later, in Pyr, she was swearing by all the silly gods as she painfully got up from the ground and tried dusting her armour, in vain. Those teleporter crashes were driving her mad. She began limping in the direction of her appartment, where her comfortable bed was waiting for her, hoping that none had seen her in that state of disgrace.

The Yrkanis bar had a reputation for being 'boring' amongst Tryker, Fyros, and adventurers in general. As such the crowd was mostly made up of local Matis citizens, relaxing and exchanging gossip after a hard day's work. The atmosphere, though lively and filled with chatter and laughter, was indeed more quiet and reserved than a foreign visitor would expect from a bar.

Sitting along the wall partly hidden behind a pillar, Chiaro Lido, a member of the Yrkanis guard, was sipping from his fourth wine while sharing his drunken lament with the blonde woman sitting across him. After finishing his story, he looked up from his glass to notice her staring at him intently, a frown on her face. "And you've notified your commanding officer of this?" she asked him. "Ofcourse!" Chiaro bellowed. "But you know corporal Frecco, she never takes me seriously! She said they'd probably just eloped with some of those Fyros lasses, that she'd make sure they'd be punished for it when they returned, and that I shouldn't worry about it! But I know Peero, he's a good man, loyal and devoted. He wouldn't abandon his duty to chase after some foreign harlot!" The woman nodded slowly at his relate, and stood up from her seat. "Thank you Chiaro. I have to be going now, but have another drink on me." Chiaro watched her as she signalled the bartender and nonchalantly strolled out of the bar. He downed the rest of his drink and called for another.

Marelli was deep in thought as her feet routinely took her along the route from the bar to her apartment. It was possible, certainly, that corporal Frecco had been right. Desertion was not uncommon amongst the city guards. Still, three in such a short time span did seem a little suspicious to her. Marelli did not generally think very highly of the city guard, or their commanders. Oh, they were a force to be reckoned with for sure... if they finally sprung into action, and therein lie the problem. In Mar's eyes, staying within the safe walls of the city, day after day, year after year, had made most of them lazy and complacent. She remembered very well how easily the Marauder spies had slipped right through them and into the city, and how they'd ultimately managed to kidnap the King himself from right under their noses. "You'd think they'd have learned from such an embarrassment," she mumbled to herself while walking, "but still they stand by and do nothing as their own guards disappear on them."

Finally arriving at the apartment building, Marelli rushed up to her room and opened her wardrobe. She stepped out of the elegant dress she reserved for bar visits, and started donning her city guard heavy armor. It wasn't a real city guard uniform, of course. She'd never been a member of the city guard. This suit was a forgery, made for her long ago by a friend who was both a master in making heavy armor and a master in making forgeries. But the resemblance was good enough that only someone very familiar with Yrkanis guard uniforms would be able to tell the difference, and even then only up close. Marelli wasn't sure yet what she'd find, or what she'd be looking for, patrolling the streets like a regular guard. Or even if she'd find anything at all. But she knew she wasn't going to sit idly by while another Marauder army could be sneaking around her home city.

By the way, you do know the building in question is guarded by 4 female guards, right? What are you doing stealing male guard uniforms? :p

OOC: Ahhh, you could have told us this beforehand, but in case you didn't notice, despite his femenine qualities, Teoh is actually a guy (Bandan can testify...) and he's going to need the correct armor if he's to wear it. ;]

---

Bandan tried to make her re-entry to Yrkanis as graceful as possible, but unfortunately teleporting wasn't high on her score sheet and the dizzyness she felt after each one was worse than the very first time she felt the full-force of a ninja yubo to the back of her head. A slew of curseworld came babbling out of her mouth as she picked herself out of the mud. Great; she had just cleaned this armor yesterday. With a sigh she staggered over to the nearby wooden fence and leaned against it idly, watching and waiting for Teoh to follow her. He had the latest instructions from Nightblade, not she, and she would hate to have pick out the wrong guard.

There was a flash of blue and violet light followed by a very wet squelch. Rolling her eyes, Bandan picked up her mace and slung it over her back, then bent over to pull Teoh out of the mud to his feet.

Teoh got up and stared down at his what was once a perfect white shirt in horror. He sighed and tried not to let it get to him, then followed Bandan to the bar. They were to meet Servelan here, and follow her with the guard she was seducing. they needed a fourth set of armor and they were about to get it.

When Servelan bursted into the bar, soaking wet in her white zorai clothing, Teoh blushed profusely and Bandan smacked him over the head for staring. The guard came in grinning behind her, closing the door and looking for the nearest private room...

Servelan winked at Bandan, Teoh groaned again, and led the guard up the porter to a more private location....

The guard found said room at the back of the bar, where he opened a small door leading to a more private spot, followed closely by Servelan. No sooner had they left Bandan leapt up and grabbed Teoh roughly by the arm, pulling him to his feet.

"Come on, that's our cue," she said eagerly, perhaps a little
too eagerly. She practically dragged her husband through the bar at a fast-paced walk, her mace almost knocking off Homins' heads as she swept past them. As they reached the door she finally released his shirt and muttered "Slut" before sneaking out the door after them.

Teoh slowly poked his head into the door where Servy would be ''entertaining'' the guard, one hand holding back Bandan's vicious mace... he finally convinced her that they should at least make sure this is the RIGHT room, before they go in bashing skulls. Suddenly an impatient Servelan threw open the door, yanked Teoh by the collar, and dragged him into the room.

"Already tied up for you Teoh" Servelan pointed at the confused guard and grinned "Lucky for us, he was carrying his own rope"

Bandan nudged Servelan aside, dragged her husband behind her, set up the guard, took aim, and WHACK! A quick strike to the back of his head, and he was out cold (or worse!) .

The fresh air hit him with some power when he left the high quarter of his Order and walked outside. By Jena, what a day – and what a night. He remembered just too vividly the Trykeress going on yatterty-yatterty without any sign of weariness, until he gave her another few lessons in praying – the only way to stop her picking on him, apart from mentioning toes. He remembered well, very well in fact, returning to the quietness of his room, just to be embraced by arms that seemed to be everywhere, as if they were more than just two, and getting lost in these beautiful green eyes and the disarming smile he knew so well. No wonder he slept the whole of his free day. Salazar Caradini, seraphim and diplomat of the most honourable Order of the Argo Navis, yawned and looked up to the sky. Rain. Well, the plants needed it, for sure. And he did not mind, for he really loved the Matian rain, the smell of damp grass and trees and humus, the reflection of light in tiny drops of water on a leaf, as if Jena gave away countless transient jewels filled with her blessings, baptizing her children.

Salazar made a step forward, looking over to the Karavan Teleporter. Everything seemed quiet; no vandalising Kamists in the streets today. Good. He had some strange feeling somehow, though, as if he – well, as if he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Just like he stepped out of his own little universe into another. Sal shaked his head, slightly amused but disconcerted as well. He decided to take a stroll to the Royal Botanical Gardens, build to house the sacred eternal blossom. Her fragrance was always balm to him when he felt tired or sad, and he knew that its beauty would remind him of the beauty which left his bedstead in a state similar to the playground of bloodthirsty Torbaks at some time today. Silly, he said to himself, but a shade of read colored his cheeks and he smiled when he took to the right and slowly walked down the street to the greenhouse.
