The Yrkanis bar had a reputation for being 'boring' amongst Tryker, Fyros, and adventurers in general. As such the crowd was mostly made up of local Matis citizens, relaxing and exchanging gossip after a hard day's work. The atmosphere, though lively and filled with chatter and laughter, was indeed more quiet and reserved than a foreign visitor would expect from a bar.
Sitting along the wall partly hidden behind a pillar, Chiaro Lido, a member of the Yrkanis guard, was sipping from his fourth wine while sharing his drunken lament with the blonde woman sitting across him. After finishing his story, he looked up from his glass to notice her staring at him intently, a frown on her face. "And you've notified your commanding officer of this?" she asked him. "Ofcourse!" Chiaro bellowed. "But you know corporal Frecco, she never takes me seriously! She said they'd probably just eloped with some of those Fyros lasses, that she'd make sure they'd be punished for it when they returned, and that I shouldn't worry about it! But I know Peero, he's a good man, loyal and devoted. He wouldn't abandon his duty to chase after some foreign harlot!" The woman nodded slowly at his relate, and stood up from her seat. "Thank you Chiaro. I have to be going now, but have another drink on me." Chiaro watched her as she signalled the bartender and nonchalantly strolled out of the bar. He downed the rest of his drink and called for another.
Marelli was deep in thought as her feet routinely took her along the route from the bar to her apartment. It was possible, certainly, that corporal Frecco had been right. Desertion was not uncommon amongst the city guards. Still, three in such a short time span did seem a little suspicious to her. Marelli did not generally think very highly of the city guard, or their commanders. Oh, they were a force to be reckoned with for sure... if they finally sprung into action, and therein lie the problem. In Mar's eyes, staying within the safe walls of the city, day after day, year after year, had made most of them lazy and complacent. She remembered very well how easily the Marauder spies had slipped right through them and into the city, and how they'd ultimately managed to kidnap the King himself from right under their noses. "You'd think they'd have learned from such an embarrassment," she mumbled to herself while walking, "but still they stand by and do nothing as their own guards disappear on them."
Finally arriving at the apartment building, Marelli rushed up to her room and opened her wardrobe. She stepped out of the elegant dress she reserved for bar visits, and started donning her city guard heavy armor. It wasn't a real city guard uniform, of course. She'd never been a member of the city guard. This suit was a forgery, made for her long ago by a friend who was both a master in making heavy armor and a master in making forgeries. But the resemblance was good enough that only someone very familiar with Yrkanis guard uniforms would be able to tell the difference, and even then only up close. Marelli wasn't sure yet what she'd find, or what she'd be looking for, patrolling the streets like a regular guard. Or even if she'd find anything at all. But she knew she wasn't going to sit idly by while another Marauder army could be sneaking around her home city.

There you go, more RP posts for you.
By the way, you do know the building in question is guarded by 4 female guards, right? What are you doing stealing male guard uniforms?
