I look into the politics behind things too much maybe, i couldnt happily defend the community outposts knowing i helped contribute towards an attack that would always lead to putting the community outposts in danger.

I saw _you_ taking it at another level. And like most everybody else, warned Brave about some of the KA (not all I am sure) will hope to interpret her act.

I would mention here the fact that Brave is working in the community OP together with House Etchmarc who donated her the Op she gave away. Maybe it's not the KA's business what happens to an OP owned by a neutral guild who donated to the community?

Secondly, a lot of us are very very used seeing Brave, humbly, without a reproach, for hours and hours, every single week for more than 6 months waiting in Pyr near her mektoubs, counting and exchanging free cats, flowers and mats for 20+ guilds and individuals.

Has anyone asked himself maybe she wants to play a little? Has anyone asked himself she is a player like all of us and all things have a limit? Has anyone among us the right to tell her: no, your game should be only to count and distribute hundreds of cats, wait for 4 hours untill we finish our hunts/digs/pvp then give, and be happy with it? How many of us have gone at least one month next to her, count the stacks, note down what guild received what? I tell you who: it's Etchmarc, the only one. This is the true owner of the OP who donated it and whom I don't see there protesting against her decision.

As Yaffle pointed very well here :P it was bad political movement. And so what, Brave is not a politician. I do love politics on Atys but for no reason politics would stop me help a good friend or repaying a gratitude debt, and with me tens of other players who knew same well it's not a bright political act.

As you, DT, well point here :P : it's unprecendented. And people are afraid of change yes, that's what makes it a bad psychological movement. Yeah, surprise, Brave is also a kami player, Bgz is the neutral. But a lot of people stepped over this fear, and mistaken or not, supported Brave, not because she was doing clever political/psychological movements, but because she is kind and nice, and people - on both sides - love her.

Like her many of us have seen our best friends leaving this game for its disbalances, like her most of us have seen our guilds going empty of the dear voices of time ago. (DT you should know what an empty guild chat sounds like). She saw it happening again; people close to leaving game, dear to her soul these people and decided to act.

I don't know how other people feel, but when a trusted friend acts out of such feelings and reasons, I don't care anymore if it's unprecedented nor if it's bad politics, I'm just there to support her!

I agree with u completely Faa Brave is always there for everyone and her giving away a community op does not matter for one she gave the op away to a guild that is also going to be giving her cats and supplies back for the community and has always been there for her, second she is another player and did not use her neutral player to attack this op. She has every right to attack an op she pays for this game like everyone else and is alllowed to have fun playing it aswell. Everyone that is flaming her for this act needs to stop and remember how much time and effort she gives to u all and know that not a single person that went to help her with that attack went there for prizes WE all went there to help a good friend and that was it. Please don't forget she was already planning to give that op away also.

I may not be the best person to speak here at this time, but I really don't like to see what is happening here. Nothing I have seen or heard of Braveganzar since coming to Arispotle makes me believe she deserves this onslaught of distrust.

The declaration on Malmont by Eye of Atys, and the giving up of one of the community outposts by Dune Farmers are two seperate matters that are unfortunately being thrown together.

* Yes, I do believe Brave intended to ease the workload and time spent on organising and running the community OP programs, by giving one of them up.
* Yes, I do believe that Brave intended to turn - getting her Kami guild an outpost - into an even to bring the Kami together to have a good and fun battle, regardless of win or lose.
* Yes, I do believe that these are two seperate things and both would have happened, seperate of eachother or intertwined as they were now.
* No, I do not believe the community OP was offered as a prize to pay for support. I do not think for one moment support would have been lacking in any way. Do people honestly believe Brave would need (or want!) to bribe people? All of you that know Brave so much better than I do, c'mon....
* No, I do not believe that any one single person at that battle, was there with the thought "I'm going to show up, because of what I might gain from doing so". My guild and myself were there, because a Kami guild was attacking a Karavan outpost in Kami lands. We were there because we supported Brave and her guild. We, like the others, were there for those reasons, not any supposedly promised reward.

And yes, I very much regret the fact that this has been misunderstood, be it intentionally or not, and that because of this some now feel the need to question Brave's motives, which I do believe were now, what they have always been.

Her actions should speak louder than any rumor-mongering.

This whole thing reminds me of those players that email me and tell me how much a certain show or segment sucked. (Although some of them DO hehe)
I always respond with: "well make a segment and send it in."
I never hear back from them.
People tend to preach a lot without performing. When it comes down to it, players like Brave are the reason Ryzom's community has it's reputation. Just to stay in step with some of the name-callers, I am going to find Brave in game and when she attempts to give me a good amount of cats and flowers for FREE I will slap them out of her hands and go "THAT'S IT?"
But, to be honest and a little selfish for a moment, this is all VERY interesting. I'm glued to the monitor.

You people seem to have your blinkers on too tight. The declaration on Malmont and the release of a community OP DO become related when you use it as a prize to be handed out for support in an attack. How is this difficult to comprehend?

bgraz wrote:is losing Malmont gonna hurt the KA?, why is it such a big deal and why can't you see it from another PoV that its still gonna help community.
Whether you keep Malmont as your own or channel it into the community outpost project, the "KA" loses an outpost while the "community" either loses out or breaks even. How can you successfully attack an alliance without expecting counteraction? This whole thread just comes off as a cover for your own aggression...
bgraz wrote:so why can't the community as a whole fight back to what seems to be the only real aggressors on the server
The community, as in the guilds you rallied to your cause? Looked like a typically faction-based OP battle to me, maybe you stop hiding behind the guise of neutrality?

At least previous battles have mirrored honest intentions...
