Battle Arena
Player run event

Time: Sunday 18th March 8pm GMT / 4pm EDT

Location: The Matis Arena (West of Yrkanis)

What will happen:
Both Karas and Kamis will congregate in the dirt field in the centre of the arena. Karas along the right edge, Kamis along the left! (width of arena is 100m) Both sides will have time to organise their teams. When both sides are ready a marshall will count down. At zero both sides will advance towards each other at will. The winner is the side with the last man standing!

Over the next few days we will be able to guage the number of potential participants and decide the limit per side!

The overall winner will be the best of 5 rounds!

Rules:
-Everything that you can do in op wars you can do in this Event!
-Once the round has started you can not leave the dirt field.
-Only those participating in the event can heal one another, spectators can not participant in anyway!
-If a participant looses their connection or leaves the dirt field mid round, they cannot rejoin the battle or be replaced, untill the round is over!
In between rounds a marshall will count both sides, to keep them even!
-You must wear your Faction tags at all times!
-Spectators can enter the dirt field, but they must stay near the entrance to distinguish themselves from the participants!

Arena Mechanics:
Only players in the same team can heal each other.
This makes the arena the only place where mass factional PvP can work. Because it doesnt allow healing out of team! So we won't have any problems with the heal bug! It also encourages more attention and skill to be used, artillery will have to place their shots, melee will have to watch their space bar targetting! and healers choose between there single and bomb heals more carefully!

The idea of this event is to bring skill back into mass pvp! So watch what your doing trigger happy space bar fighters :P

Marshalls:
VeniVidiVici

Battle Marshall - Razorsedge
Kami Marshall - Trycirtis
Karavan Marshall - Sanrye

Contacts:
If your a Karavan please contact Riveit ingame, and myself if your Kami to apply, or use the poll! Also any questions ask us, or post here :)

Enjoy! :)

Not this time with nuetrals! But if you come to spectate and we need to add more people to even the numbers it might be possible! But for now, spectating only like!

Ive spent the past couple of days asking round each Kami guild! It looks like our max number is 50 for now!

Just to remind participants, you must have your faction tags enabled at all times during the event! :)

Also an idea thats cropped up in Kami chat! Perhaps afterwards we could have ourselves a little team v team skirmish, I guess everyone can decide on the day! :)

Usually I would say "build it and they will come", but this one seems to be only troll bait. How many homins from both sides saw this as having a decent result for anyone ?

You have excluded many by telling neutrals they weren't welcome and Karavaneers have nothing to prove...

Good luck !
WWJD - What Would Jena Do ?
DoubleTap - Disciple of Jena - Karavan Champion
Matis Medium Gladiator Champion

How do you mean having a decent result? Its about having a fun drawn and diverse battle. Even numbers mean long rounds, where we can get stuck in for a long time and really enjoy it, unlike most OP wars!

I havent excluded anyone! If alot of Nuetrals turn up and want to pvp, then they can join both our ranks!

I know why the few nay sayers in the KA hold the same opinion you do! Your smart enough to realise the Kami are good enough, that given about even numbers they will win a high percentage of the rounds! Unlike the low percentage of OP wars! So many losses have forced the fewer Kamis to be very good.

If your worried you can't somehow make up the numbers then thats fine, the Neutrals that want to participate can join you, if its really bad, some kami can join the other side to make sure we have a fun even fight! :)

But if it's because your worried we might prove a point! I mean wouldn't it tell you something if the Kami won say 80% of the rounds compared to 20% of the OP's wars!

Its a shame that alot of nice Karavans can be manipulated by a few (not naming any names) selfish opportunists! I'm glad the Kamis have gone so long without a good winning streak! They gained alot more out of it, the kind of gain that given the chance to explain, many Karas wouldnt understand! But to think on it a while! This was perhaps how our gods wanted things to happen!

No one is telling the Karavan not to take part in this; it is up to the individual to decide if they wish to join.
I'm not taking part because of the bugs in PvP healing and the team bug in the arena. But I could also see why some would be turned off by Kami arrogance, you only seem to be having this event to prove a point you think is true and not to have fun.
