Hello!
Re: Hello!
Yes, the goodbye thread was a hard read for many of us but, like online games things change and folks move on and come back on a regular basis. However, on a more upbeat note, think of all the vacanies open now for good crafters etc...

Re: Hello!
Welcome Lizia .
The background lore is certainly a good place to begin to get a feel for the world of Atys. The Chronicles have many hours of reading to wade through and many gems of information, and some of the stories and letters in Through a Homin's Eyes will really whet your appetite.
But it is Atys itself which is most inspirational, if you ask me. Take time to enjoy the view, the awful weather , the beasts which seem so full of life, and you'll find an immersive experience, making you and your character feel a part of a living world. Treat other people like they are too, and you're started.
The Ryzom community is extremely roleplay friendly - try talking in character and almost anyone you meet will happily return the favour and talk back in character (completely different to my experiences elsewhere, where abuse and derision seemed almost de rigeur). Roleplaying is mostly pretty loose and casual, and this all makes it easy for someone to find their feet and I felt the same as you when I arrived here; new and uncertain. There are a few very sound guilds that make much more of it and if you're a zoraï going to Zora then you might like to look out for Seeds of Atys, for example.birathen wrote:...Oh and how is the RP? From what I've gathered the background story is a very important part of the game. Im still new at RP but I love it so far and would love to get into it here, where the background story seems so interesting and alive. ...
