If you think Ryzom is demanding about Hardware, try the beta of a certain MMO Sigil and SOE are betaing currently... all i can say is that 25fps in Ryzom equal about 4fps in that one.. on lowest settings (with Beta code in it ofc)Zerlin wrote:Ehhhh! Wrong answer. WoW is low tech and really does not use that much in the way of system resources. It is first generation MMO implementation. That way it will run on pretty well any PC made since the turn of the century. One of the secrets of it's widespread adoption - it delivers to lowest common denominator for player hardware.
Ryzom on the other hand is very hardware intensive and will find any weakness in your system.

I have a 9200 ATI Radeon Card just like you. I can run this game at completely high graphics and get no errors. So, the issue may be a RAM or a processor one. I had about 512 MB of RAM, but then upgraded with a 1 GB stick...all my lag issues were gone. It seems this game runs best when you have 1 GB of RAM available. Also, if you use a router, you might have to open ports and that will help if you have any incessant "Please Wait" pop-ups. There's a thread that's stickied in the Technical Support section devoted to this one issue.

Speed of your hard drive (more speed)
