Ah I see what ya mean now :-) Thank you for more detail. (apology goes to you blaah for going so far into asumption. but detail is good :-P ).

Still sorry I don't know the answer to this. and it is a very good question.

Tho I suspect that since I read somewhere that all servers were "toned down" similarily.
That all servers have same setups for bosses.

Maybe someone who has taken these down or what not can give better insight.

Sorry, haven't read the last two pages of personal attacks and whatnot.

I just want to know;
When is this event scheduled to end? Can we get an official time please?

I want to know when, so I know when to log back into Cho.

As it is now, it's an unplayable server (in Yrk at least) for anyone under level 50s - due to very low population and 3 x [4x*gold] Kitins where the [1x*gold] Gingos are etc.

I admire the Devs for going beyond the standard haunted hourse and pumpkin mask stuff, but people just aren't logging onto Cho atm. Would be nice if it was just a few days...

Love the game, loving the fresh start Cho provides. Hating not logging in due to not being able to do a damn thing.

Peace.

Erm...isn't it playable after being toned down?

I've been pretty lucky to find them. Hardly an "invasion".

The Yrk gingos have always been there. Always will. Probably the nastiest LvL 50 zone within 500m from a town.

If the challenge has been toned down, then the rewards need to be toned down too. this can be achieved by applying the "weeny" size category to the titles.

the titles should run
Hunter of weeny debutant kitins
weeny kitin hunter
master weeny kitin hunter
weeny kitin eradicator
weeny kitin mass murderer

that way, you wont confuse a Kitin eradicator, who did their work in red and purple zones, with a weeny Kitin eradicator, who didnt venture out of blue and yellow zones.

Fair enough ?

Only two or three of us in Majestic, two of us grouped up.
Me 35 Healing, she 53ish tanking.

After getting a couple of nasty Kitin adds here and there, we farmed the northern Kipees for an hour for like 700-1k xp each until both declared bored.
Hardly what you'd call emotionally charging MMO gameplay.

So we decided to try south, to the [1x*gold] Gingos that would be perfect exp for us.
Just over the first hill was a little group of Kitin. Had to run them off. Just over the next hill... etc, repeat, to the point where there were two [4x*gold] groups of Kitins in the immediate area of the Gingos etc we needed.
6 [4x*gold] Kitins in one general area (the bottleneck into Fleeting Garden where the Gingos and Jarvings are), blocking any form of advancing or hunting in the area.

It'd be a great fun event if there was anyone in Yrk area, or if any of the higher levels came back to that region and helped clear the Kitins or something.
But as it is, there is pretty much nothing we could do for decent hunting/minimal deaths, and both ended up harvesting in the immediate vicinity of Yrk for a couple of hours.

Katriell, create an alt on Cho, level to low 30s and then try get anything done beyond harvesting close to the towns.
As events go, this could be fun, but is just a lowbie's fun-killer imo.

Should be over soon anyways, which was the reason for my first post.

Edit: I just want to make the point - as I pressume the meaning of my post was missed - I am not critising the Devs or the holding of the Event itself (am a longtime Ryzomer, and the Events are one of the greatest aspects of this game), but am honestly just enquiring as to its duration.
I imagine I'd have fun with it if I was playing on my old 'main' on Arispotle, but I am not. I just don't think the impact of an event like this on a new server was really thought through is all.

Should be over soon enough though.
So, when? Monday morning GMT?

I fail to see why you'd need to change the titles themselves. I'm talking about Cho here... Care to explain how I'd go to work in a purple zone with my combat skills under 100?
its not possible... don't think its possible for ANYONE on Cho to kill the purple mobs. This is a new server. Does that mean that we should be limited from the rewards that were offered on Aris? no. If I had wanted the titles on my Aris character, i could have done it easily in a few days of grinding. That char is no longer my main. I play on Cho and would like to have the titles on that char. Instead I've had to settle for the 250 title since anything above wasn't possible.
How would one confuse the two when they're on different servers... if you're on Aris and you see that title, you know what it means because you play on Aris and did the missions there. Those who play Cho would know what it took to get the title there. If I had the combat levels to go in to the purple zones, I would have. I don't and neither does anyone else on Cho, so its pointless of have rewards that are only for those who can.

Makes sence to me :-) As I got my Eradicator title and don't plan to go further :-)

Lets put it this way... It's toned down to the point where one would say:

"There's an event going on? Where?"

Event mobs are pretty much extinct on Cho. Getting the 250 Kiten Cookies Title would be pretty hard unless you played 24/7 this weekend. It would be a close call.
