And on a side note....If this game is so amazingly boring without this dumb event, then why do you play this game at all?

You are telling me you pay 14.99 a month to have fun 1 week every year? Wow, that is kinda neat that you like to contribute to the french charity Neverex like so.....One would think that if this game was worth anything you would not whine and complain that you only get to have fun the week of halloween....

Maybe this game needs a brand new influx of new excited, and not burnt out players, and maybe some of you Oldbies that are so terribly bored should take a break from the game, so that the newer generation may better shape this game through discussions and chamge, and not have to get vilified for disagreeing with the vets.....

Please quote me where I said I did not still have fun. Saying one gets bored, does not mean they don't have fun. That my friend has nothing to do with being a burned out oldbie.

I don't appreciate your general tone of telling me and others that have been in this game a long time that we need to take a break. That is not called for as you have no insite as to what I feel or think as far as my desire to play Ryzom and the desire to see it evolve and turn into something that stays innovative.

Basically telling people who have been here a long time that our opinions are not welcome because we may be "burnt out" in your opinion is in general not very productive to the evolution of the game. All ideas can make a difference. It's when the new players that have some weird attitude like the one you seem show here, come in and get pissy at oldtimers or anyone else when we disagree with your opinions or you happen to not like our opinions then you get all upset and flame the crap out of everyone that you don't agree with that doesn't make a positive difference.

By your very post, you are doing what you accuse me of. You are vilifying me for saying something you don't agree with.

BUT anyway. You completely missed the point of my post. I was not disagreeing with him if his responce was sarcastic. I was stating that the event was set in motion with a certain criteria and they "band-aid" fixed a gaping wound and broke the event in doing so. Besides, whats wrong with a little chaos for one week in a year or 2 years as in this case. Maybe people like YOU need to take that break you were telling me to do for a week if you can't handle Nevrax's way of trying to add fun instead of crying and getting them to scramble to remove their attempts at "change" (seems to me you mentioned something about change right?) But far be it from me to stoop to your level and TELL you how to spend your time as you see fit to do to me.

Not to mention if you paid attention to his join date he is no newbie as you so state that you think this game needs for ideas/change/discussions.

I took offence in his post based on lack of clarity and if it was sarcastic that he would be so bold as a "VETERAN" to condescend to newbies basically acting like me/they want it all handed to them. BOY you were way off here. I as a VET was trying to stick up for new players.

FYI my join date isn't accurate on my time spent in Ryzom, first account was beta and I took that "break" as Ryzom went live. Came back one week late to resume my old account. Just in case you want to remark further based on time spent in game.

EDIT: Besides to all that complained about this event. It just occured to me, this is called an INVASION. By very definition:

I am sorry you feel the way you do, but I did not once tell you how you feel or how you should spend your time, I gave my observation on the situation and then gave some suggestions, something that each one of you have done to me on my complaint, should I get sorely offended each time someone gives me a suggestion I do not like? Hmmm I think you need to tone it down a bit Dark.
Rampaging around the forums getting into arguements with everyone you encouter is no good for anyone.
Insulting people does even less good.
This is a forum for Discussion not Argument.

So please for the sake of people who enjoy reading resonable forum posts
and the new players who are trying to find out about the game by reading, can we try and keep things more civilised?

I understand you may dislike the current event but getting angry about it will not help. You need to perhaps be a little more constructive with your posts and Im sure you will recieve more willing help and suggestions with your problem.

I coupled you "you get mad easy" with you saying "bored" and deduction leads me to see that in THIS thread I was the only one that said "bored" so I took particular intrest in that part since you didn't say "you all get mad easy" I was left with that....my play on words? maybe but its the way I read your words that led me to it.

Yup you are entitled to an opinion, but not entitled to insult. Sorry if my voicing my "opinion" of your insult made me "look" like I was trying to play god.....as its not the case.

There is a difference between disagreeing with someone and trolling. Going from thread to thread spouting off nothing but veiled insults is trolling.

Also, I would suggest re-reading all the threads on the kitin invasion and point out where any of us said we were bored of the regular game and just keep playing for kitin invasions. Think you'll have a pretty empty list. The invasion is an event, something that doesn't happen all that often and something that should be enjoyed (which I was til they nerfed the crap out of it)

Sandaara, I've be more than happy with a happy medium. At least then it would be possible to get the majority of the titles. But as it is now, its not a compromise. As you pointed out, they over-compensated to the point where the event... well, wasn't an event. Its some PR kitin that sort of wandered a bit ("my its bright out here.... hey, look, someone in heavy armor! lets go say 'hi'"). It would have seemed pretty logical for them to have toned down the number of kitin needed for the titles if they're going to practically exterminate all of the invasion kitin

No idea as I rarely go after bosses (tho I am of level ranges that can be a party to this).

there is 4 baby bosses currently active. all have extremely high hp regen rate and they do some 3k damage in hit.

now, how can server full of low level people take those down ?

the other invasion ppl talk about ended when bosses were killed. i suppose its same way now... tho we probably have not seen main boss (2 star with minions).

you can collect the pieces all you want, you dont end event that way. so, if players really would be on control how event goes, event would last in Cho untill players can take boss down.
