Bay on little gingo, bay on.
Et tu lil gingo... trying to ride the coattails of the heretic Raynes. He alone comitted these acts of genocide and will be accountable...

*Jyudas picks up the dapper*
It is the very life blood of Atys, and ourselves.
It can buy friends, companionship, love.
A dapperless homin can have honor, compassion and beliefs... The friends and love that dapper can buy will only be around as long as your good fortune. You worship your dappers, when the days of reckoning come you will see what they can buy you !

It doesn't hide behind an impenetrable mask, it doesn't pollute our home with its foul smokes and strange lights. It doesn't demand I kill its enemies, it doesn't masquerade as a god to take advantage of our naive simplemindedness.
The Karavan are not hiding behind masks, they wear masks and suits to protect themselves from gasses emitted by the goo, a by product of the Kami no doubt. You use the word demand because you are not a homin of faith. We are/were required to do nothing, if we chose to follow specific directives given by the Karavan in the name of the goddess we made a choice. "our simplemindedness" more mirrors some of the references you make to dappers and less to what those of faith make as choices.

It has lead to me being a force of balance in these lands, the desperate Kami willing to pay for a strong sword arm to help fend off the advances of the imperialist Matis who, in their arrogance, mostly refuse to pay.
All this dapper you seem to have yet it was not enough for your guild to hold an Outpost... your hypocricy has no bounds.
akicks wrote:They allowed every Homin to dig and exploit the old lands, instead of making sure that the future of Atys herself is assured.
They are not infallible beings from beyond, they are not gods. Ma-Duk is a hypocrite, and so is any Kami follower who believes that they help protect our land from over enthused diggers.
I believe in the Kami principles at heart. We should protect our world, we should keep the land in balance. But I can not agree with their practices, because their practices do not follow their ideals.

Of course your not the only member of your guild not practicing what they preach in efforts to sway others moral compass.

No other explanation ? There are any number of explanations...
Their protections are limited to a very specific area, those not believing in the Kami might think it was to keep a balance to allow the goo to manifest. Move 100 meters from where the Kami have determined you have overdug and you have freedom to dig again. Nothing has been limited but a specific location and even then they allow us back soon after. Tied to Atys or the goo, they don't truly stop digging only keep a vague balance.
raynes wrote:I also beleive Atys must be protected at all costs. As the Kami know more of the planet I trust in their guidance led by the great Ma-Duk. Their message is clear, the stealing of resources for the Karavan is a wrong. It is wrong becuase the Karavan seek to take the resources and not replace them. They have no concern if Atys looses all of it's valuable materials. They will simply steal all it has to offer and go back where they came from. They do not live here, therefore they do no care what happens.
The clearest way for Atys to be protected is by us homins rebuilding our civlizations and being prepared. To do this we must use the resources available to improve ourselves and our cities. Who knows when the next Fyros or ranger expedition will put our very existence into jeopardy again ? Sure the Karavan and Kami not long ago asked us to erect temples in their honor, but the materials needed for this did not require the materials we have needed to survive. Instead they were materials from the old lands, are their powers somehow tied into the old lands ?
Other than this period in our history, when has the karavan actually asked for materials conflicting with those we use to rebuild our lands ? Where is this order to strip the lands of Atys for the benefit of the Karavan ? It's in the Kami interpretations apparently...
raynes wrote:So I do not kill for an idea. I kill to keep Atys in her natural state. I kill to prevent my jungle home from turning into a wasteland due to over harvesting.
Your moral code is built around greed and dapper. My moral code is built around the preservation of the enviroment. I'd say you were the one who is misguided, not me.
You were not in the jungle, nor were those you killeed actively digging. You entered the Silt Sculptors camp and slayed the the homins while they relaxed and ate dinner. You didn't attack a hunting party, you attacked a tribe that had settled in the sands to make a new life for themselves. Moral code, your pathetically preying on the weak... a fine Kami representative !
