THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG!cerryl wrote:It's not a rumor, I read it somewhere along the way during install, either on the main page during signups or while installing.
FFXI does something similar. If you cancel your "portal account" (I forget the name of it), your cd key become invalid after a few months, and you'd need to buy a new disk. They have the player base to do this and survive, this game doesn't.
I hope that they waive this rule here, since I like to take extended breaks from my games, and come back at a later time especially since alot of us will most likely be trying out WoW and EQ2.
You will never loose your cd key and your characters are guaranteed to stay put for 6 months. The unregister page still has the old guidlines that Nevrax had adopted where you would lose your cd key after 90 days (I believe that's what's there, I haven't unregisteredslaval28 wrote:I saw the question asked on the Vault and figured I come here and see if you can give us an offical response. Somehwere I saw that if you deactivate your account and its inactive for 90 days you will lose your cd key and characters. Is this a just in case that was put into the EULA or is this something that Nevrax will be enforcing from the get go?
