But maybe some are allowed to do that, and others are not.
I may as well disagree with those posts, too; I would have preferred a less aggressive approach where, in context, one devoted "Jenaite" expresses his discomfort for seeing supposedly allied faction *homins* helping faction enemies, thus developing complex politics, as I said, and alternative approaches, thus developing and impacting the saga, where different views clash... or even no posts at all and keep them in game.

But being in a bipolar setting as we are, these disagreements will pop, and they may not be garnished with IC words, but have fundamentally the same meaning.

Outposts are meant to be fought over, as much as some (including myself) may be disappointed by this. Conflicts, tensions, and other feelings will raise. Managing an outpost means that one needs to be, at least, aware of this (take the heat), or, put it simple, give away your op and enjoy the other aspects of the game.

Taken to the limit, now imagine all ops are peacefullly taken, owners owning ops only in their own lands... what about the rest? as much as they are "shared", I'd rather be in an owning position than in a begging one.

PS: And finally, Geniastrid, please do not consider this personal at all, IG I am mostly a carebear... but the OPs feature is lacking in a lot of aspects and creating tensions for a lot of players, not only including owners.

As for the OP situations, good job to all the matis guilds trying to make an Empirein atys and make lose interest to ret of the community ;)
Ofc Nexus will have the support of the Riders btw

Tho I do dispise the thought of defending the KA LOL... If they are american then why would they pick a Euro time to fight... Iv been thinking on this and even tho I don't like it,its true.

Oh yeah and im American :D

Following this logic:

Matis are more than Zorai therefore they occupy Zorai Outposts, therefore they will have more newbies as they have more cats, therefore they will be even more so they will have to occupy Fyros too, therefore a new flow of cats will bring even more newbies, therefore, with all regret, they have to take Tryker Ops too (as they are more, isn't it?)... and welcome to Yrkanis hegemony...

Nah, things are far from related to any lore here. KA is attacking Nexus to prove no karavan guild can afford leading an independent politics and give a lesson to all who may think they could go astray from KA leadership views. That's all about it. Tremble, little kara and neutral guilds, tremble, one wrong step and the Kontrol Army will show you the taste of the corporate blade.

And these are particulary two (amongst others) aspects I dislike from outposts. First: the current supply of items that cannot be obtained elsewhere -- although to some extent devs said they had to justify players wanting them *shrugs*, how many players would not bother with Ops if they could obtain the same in a more PvE way and at similar rates? -- and then, the snowball effect, where small guilds are left aside favoring large ones, and well, shortsighted newbies that could join a guild only for the supposedly expected reward in terms of cats (but who can blame them?, I cannot deny that easier -- at least not begging-like -- access is a motivating factor)

Whose fault is it? would Outposts that gave no significant rewards be worth fighting for, for the sake of fun and PvP only? And I have similar concerns considering the upcoming spires. I am aware and I have voiced these concerns about imbalance, lack of fun for the losing side for long.

(snip) Yrkanis hegemony...(snip) go astray from KA leadership views. That's all about it. (snip)
And on the other hand...(ooc, stepping back) what is the purpose of the war? what's the expected outcome? is this supposedly meant to be a permanent feature, knowing that keeping a balance is way too hard, specially if no control, regulatory measures are taken? or is it open to end one way or another? (e.g. Aniro Kami is outnumbering)

An even if greed was the major reason behing this or other attacks. Wasn't this exactly what was intended?

If you're going to discuss gamebalance and mechanics, wouldn't it be best to open a new dedicated thread to it, where everyone can have their grown-up say in it instead of hijacking this thread where you know nothing good or constructive will come from it due to people's bias towards virtual property?

First and last thing I'll say in this thread that should have been left alone on this matter. Now if it had been in the Saga forum ....

Disclaimer: that doesn't mean I don't see where you and Faa are comming from, i'll agree on most already said; I just feel there's no point discussing these 'un-winable war' gamefeatures in a thread that will get drowned by fingerpointing in 10 ... 9 .... 8 ....

Oh thats nice to know, all the karavan guilds are going to start handing out cats? yea right, the point is why should people without acess to crystals lvl at half the speed as those who did, i hated the crystal idea from the start, the powerfull get more so and everyone else is left feeling pissed off with yet another poorly thought out idea as "conent"
