I could see that if the Karavan did not provide Teleportation in the Prime Roots, but they do.

Ok, to be clear, there is not a Karavan member at the TP, but there is a Karavan TP, and an emissary there.

And so they show their true nature, encouraging witless homins to sell them their souls for the "reward" of easy access to the dark places which even they shy from.

You're all loopy! I abide only by the tenaments laid down by the True Gods, the developers! I pay the developers a monthly tribute and they, in return, allow my character to go wherever, and if my character isn't struck dead because she "wanders" deep beneath the surface of Atys then that is by the grace of the developers, not Jena's.

The Kitins' lairs are surely in the deep roots, don't you think?

*cough* I already found the Dragon's lair. :D
ambika wrote:EDIT: Also, I'm unsure about the deeper roots explanation. Don't recall reading that. Is it somewhere in the lore? Oo;
The lore section gets some rewrites now and then ... It can really mess with what you think are facts or common knowledge. :(

QFE. That's the answer given by karavan emmisary/Tidings/Xavier-in-a-Q&A when asked this exact question ages ago.
