And let's not forget that monkeys have 2 hands and a tail... though that may be pushing the analogy a little far :o

So I say to you, followers of Ma-Duk, stay, regroup, organize, find enjoyment again and give us, the followers of Jena, the challenge we really deserve from you.
heh, this thread is so inspiring. :)

I'm sure of your ability
To become my perfect enemy

Wake up and face me
Don't play dead 'cause maybe
Someday I will walk away and say
You disappoint me

btw sprite, that wasn't anyone mod. most probably xavier and his webdev team, who upgraded vbulletin. ;)

xenofur wrote:just a random thought. you have determined that this conflict is unwinnable by force. so why do you keep on trying to do it with force?

from what i read in this thread the kami side on arispotle is like the monkey with a nut in his hand, which he can't pull out of the bottle, because his fist is too big with the nut inside it.
There's no other way but force.

There's some possibilities like an EvE style massive betrayal, but working up within the ranks of a Karavan guild with an alt would require a massive amount of time and effort and, doubtless, would be considered scummy unfair play should a heist or similar be pulled off in such a fashion.

The Karavan are continually telling the Kami, "oh no, dont leave. Stay, organize, you can win." At that outpost battle last night, we were organized. We had everything planned out just right. Everything worked at first, when things were even-and else I will b**** about the numbers-, then more karavan showed up when we wiped the first "group." I swear, there had to be about as many melee as we had nukers and healers. Okay, all fine and dandy, and I would have continued to lose (because Jayce hadn't found me yet and killed me). And then, Jackoba and Final said they were done. I was like, huh? I had turned of region chat for a reason. But, I opened it up and scanned back through what I saw, disgraceful. I think I need to go back to MMORPG.com and change my vote on community.

But, many of you are right when you say that Outposts and PvP is not all there is in game. What should I do though? I have already grinded one skill to 250, and I dont really like grinding that much. Should I go dig to craft? I hate digging. Oh, I know, I'll go raid the kiten nest...but wait, the kami would never be able to take that, just like they can't take an Outpost anymore. And, why would the Karavan want to help the kami have fun taking a kitin nest? Hmm, maybe I will go explore Atys...no wait, did that, and I hate DP. *sigh* Darn, don't 'ya know, doesn't seem to be anything to do. Oh well, I could wait for R2, but I could care less about making a world...to grind in or dig in. I could wait for Spires, but wow, doesnt that just effect me badly because I'm Kami and most of the rest of Atys is Karavan/Neutral? Did I miss something here, give me a reason to stay kami (go neutral), or to stay in game, cause I sure as hell can't find it.

(IC) I'm not about to reply to your entire rant; you're frustrated and it's hard not to sympathize. But one minor nitpick: This bit I quoted from you is wrong, IMO. Even though we oppose the Kami and challenge the Kamist held outposts, I think we all still feel the kitin are the greatest enemy to hominkind. This is how I see my list of "enemies" in the order of greatest threat:

1. The Kitin (they are completely alien to us and agro us at almost every turn; if/when they get more organized they'll wipe us all out)
2. The Kami's/Ma Duk (not the Kamists, but the Kami's themselves; don't trust them. Not gonna justify why; this isn't the place for a religious debate. Point is, to me, they are more of a threat than their followers.)
3. The Kamists (when following Ma Duk's orders to oppose the Karavan, then I oppose them. In anything else, they are homins like me and get treated/judged as individuals and not as Kamists)
4. Yubo's that piddle on my leg. (In my free time, I like taunting them into agro rich areas and feeding them to the gingos.)

I'm not going to edit my other post, because I still stand by it. I do know that pvp has been what has been frustrating me. And, being in a mainly pvp guild, that's hard to avoid, but I'll try to avoid most pvp for a while-without quiting KoO :) . Maybe I'll start feeling better about Ryzom.

Although, on a more humourous side note. I thought I'd point out something about the complaining everyone complains about. The karavan complain about the kami complaining, so isn't it just a big "complain" circle?

[Edit] Doesn't seem as if I'm allowed a break from PvP. Wonderful

Somehow I doubt that people will be so cooperative when the Kitin become a resource to be harvested rather than an enemy to be feared.
