Regarding the PR, I didn't mention that specific case.

I don't dig PR (or at all if I can help it) so I don't know what the comparitive difficulty level between the PvP and non-PvP zones is like at the moment, nor do I know which particular QLs are in which zones, but I think an expedient trek route does pass through the same area which is probably a slightly more controversial case.

IIRC forest supremes are, however, only available in Nexus, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
PR PvP zones: q150-q200 (q250 if its a supernode) (Umbra: WG, GoO, EF, and ToT)
non-pvp PR zones q200-q250 (Wastelands, Ichor, underspring) (I think ichor is 200... correct me if wrong)

all mats are found in each region in all grades (choice-supreme). Ichor used to be the hardest PR land of them all (by far), but don't know now with KPs no longer in game. I've dug all of the regions, with the exception of Ichor and find that most of the regions to be equal now that the patrols aren't in game. The only difference is the size of the maps. Umbra is long and fairly skinny meaning its easy to get around using the various TPs. The q250 zones are much larger with the mats spread out more, so more travel time. But all in all, thats something to be expected from a higher Q zone.

but u said that if there was another way to do things then it WAS consensual and it seems the only person arguing ur side of the story is u, where as there is 2-3 people arguing our side

I like arguing :)
And I can understand and explain a point of view even if I don't necessarily agree with it.

These 'Supernodes' are unique to PvP areas though, right? Though smaller amounts of supremes can be dug elsewhere. Provided the ease of it has been evened out (those patrols were just silly) then there is less reason for the PR harvesters to complain.

Personally I still think it's a poor idea to have an auto-PvP zone at all (even the arena has/had its problems when events were hosted there with people attacking spectators who'd gotten too close, thinking that was funny).

Still, even eliminating the PR (potentially) from the argument (and there are people that wouldn't concede that still remember) we still have outposts and whatever spires will bring and things past and doubtless things future.

If I really wanted to ambush a trek I could set it up, heck people announce them in advance, gives you time to get into position. But thankfully I dont think anyone wants to sink that low.

Just proving my point that "consent" even in PR is dodgy... did the newbies consent when being lead by many friendly, polite and experienced players?

Did those players expect it?

well, to be perfectly honest, some people are not arguing, but more complaining. If you turn on your tag (a game feature whos whole purpose is PvP) and you get attacked by another player (PvP) then you don't have an right to complain. You've marked yourself a combatant, so expecting no combat is a bit stupid.

PR Regions give a clear warning. They even give you time to leave the region so that you can't get ganked while attempting to leave. Multiple warnings with a count down are given to show exactly at what stage of involvment the char is in. And like Lathan pointed out, many grew used to having those regions be free of PvP simply because it carried a stigma back then (look at the guild I'm in... I've felt that stigma). This is no longer the case as PvP took a more dominant role in Atys. its a change that came quite quickly, and thus, some have difficulty adjusting.

The ONLY place I see consent being an issue is OPs. To own one, you HAVE to PvP. To keep one, you HAVE to PvP. I agree that Nevrax should have made the multiple ways of obtaining and keeping an OP, but its a bit late now. R2 will help even out that content a bit, giving those not interested in PvP an alternative activity to do (or a world to escape into :p )

I think it is perfectly acceptable to ambush a trek, as long as you spout off profusely IC as to why you are stopping the traversal of the lands by said homins. It could prove quite an interesting character line.

Meshin you are new here and in time you will find everything out yourself.

Your asking all matter of questions doesn't mean that Rundll owes you anything...

And tbh I believe you have already got more replies than was called for.

And for Jena's sake there is not a single kara guild that KoS all kami... geez...
Rundlls guild is OOTN - ask around and you get the picture.
