Prime Roots is a link between Fyro and Zorii, thats the ONLY reason for the added mobs. Its to make travel from one racial zone to the other as impossible as possible.
I can now harvest in 3 places. Dyron. Thesos and Prime Roots.
These three places are the ONLY places in the ENTIRE game i am ALLOWED to harvest.
I can't harvest in Outlaw Canyon because the "arguably clueless devs" have placed aggro mobs on either side of every entrance. To such an extent is is blatently obvious they dont want anyone to go there.
Take the bridge nearest Pyr. Theres a whole group of kinchers that stand right at the end of this bridge they NEVER move. How SUBTLE is that?
The entry into lower canyons, Frahar on the left blocking access and Varinx on the right. Even if i was lvl 250 they would pull me down and kill me. I would be forced to pull them to the guards. Can you imagine 10-15 Varinx running around in Pyr?
Access to anywhere on the map has been made is difficult as possible. Zerx placed on meeting points making travel all but impossible. Frahar and Varinx patrolling elsewhere. Oyrx and Varinx guarding the Karavan Teleports. oh you can use the teleport.. you just cant go anywhere!!!
It is only be exploiting the mistakes they've made that movement is possible. It is only by waiting sometimes for hours that movement is possible. I can harvest in PR, but i have to stand at entrance and wait for an openning, sometimes waiting 2 hours. Sometimes 15 minutes.
To a degree i agree that it should be difficult to harvest Excellent and Supreme Mats. IMO The "arguably clueless devs" should have made Excellent Mats a lvl 150 skill and Supreme a lvl 200 skill. But the didnt. THAT is THEIR mistake. Its not my fault that people have supreme lvl 20 pikes, armour.... its the devs fault. And blocking access is NOT the way to fix this.

The only excitement i get admittedly is beating those fing kinchers and getting inside. For a Harvester dying 10 times isnt a problem, the xp isnt as important as it is for melee or magic. Can you imagine what it would be like clearing 300k dp at lvl 73 melee? Just because you wanted to explore..visit zorii...
