The gloves have never been implemented. In fact prior to the Open Beta with the Trykers, there was no magic amp in the game at all.

Staves were labeled as gloves but they were indeed staves. As for 1h or 2h ... a staff is a 2handed weapon and as such the mage amp does appear in the offhand when equipped.

Ok perhaps Im just having a temporary reading disability but I dont understand what you said at all. You go from saying gloves to staves then jump over to staff's which are a totally differnt weapon and then say because of them magic amplifiers are in the offhand but when I use them they are in the right hand.

So the question is again are MAGIC AMPLIFIERS (not staves, staffs, sticks, gloves, pokers or any other thing you may want to call them) considered a 2h weapon on the crafting tree? Because my understanding is that right now they are considered a 1h weapon.

Question to Dev's: If MAGIC AMPLIFIERS are to be changed to MAGICIAN GLOVES will they still be in the weapon crafting line adn not light armor? Also will they be in the 1h tree, 2h tree or perhaps some hybrind line of thier own?

The magic amplifier, staff, staves were called(labelled) magic gloves in the last open beta.

They are 2handed weapons. Ie Yes it is in the right hand but it is shadowed in the left hand. As for damage type and xp ... I would have to test it in game. I dont generally use my magic amp(staff, glove) to beat mobs to death.

I would hope that if your guild has a number of high level mages that someone is already making decent light armor. If the new gloves fall into the already existing light armor tree as an option added to gloves it should not be so bad. If on the other hand it is a separate item somewhere within light armor this is going to set several people back a number of hours.

So what you are saying is that everything is fine, because everybody is in a guild, so it doesnt matter that weapon crafters have invested time, money and SP into the Magician Amplifier plan already ?

I am not saying that everyting is "fine." Simply saying that every change does not have to be seen as the end of the world.

If the new items falls into an existing tree then the dislocation to the economy and to crafters in general will be reduced. There will be some individuals inconvenienced of course.

And as far as being guilded goes, this is clearly a game that strongly encourages guilding. Those who insist on remaining guildless will be inconvenineced in many ways and miss out on major parts of the game.
