I also believe I read somewhere that some sort of politics would be introduced to the game.
The following suggestion could take these two things beyond mere role play and actively suppord them through game mechanics.
Now I don't intend to make this a "PvP=bad thread" but instead make a suggestion for those who oppose war to work together. I do not want to work out all the details here, I merely put this up as a discussion piece for both players and nevrax to concider.
Formalised alliances and by that I mean that the game mechanics allow for guilds to allign themselves with other guilds.
I propose two types of alliances:
- Strategic alliances
- Religious alliances
Religious Alliances obviously would have to adhere to the faction boundaries and can therefor only consist of guilds belonging to the same faction.
Each guild could have a set number of alliances but the system would allow for a "chain" of alliances that could, in theory encompass all guilds of Atys.
This proposal would, in one great sweep, adress many concerns regarding the current, and future, PvP additions to the game and allow those who do not wish to partake in the FvF to do so with limited impact on their game play while still leaving FvF as an option to those who wish it.
For instance an alliance with a guild owning a outpost would mean sharing the benefits, though not in the same measure as the "owners"
I could be wrong but I think this would satisfy both PvP and non-PvP players.
