Playing with sound, and loving it. Music is such an annoyance for me, it's usually the first thing turned off in a game.

I play with no sound unfortunately. The reason I don't play with sound started when digging around the kipees ;P got a little tired of them and so turned sound down a lot which became off completely. The reason however that I keep it off is because I talk with people via ventrillo, talk w/ people in the room, and try to be curtious of others as well. I do however love the sound in the game. It is very good and I wish I did play with sound some more ;P

I think the music is jarring. Also I'm very unsatisfied with ambient sounds. In fact, almost all of the sound in the game is mob "calls." We need much more sounds of rushing waterfalls, chirping birds, buzzing insects, milling townspeople. It's better than it was when I started playing, but it still feels like a vacuum.

I play with the sound on because I use the MP3 on the game, and I need it to know if there is a critter sneaking up behind me...but the music could be better...Like on Final Fantasy and other RPG's there is music while you run around, I always thought it catchy and sorta like it.

I use the mp3 player ingame as well as having the sound on..the times when i forget to do this are the times that the city 'theme' tunes scare the bejeesus out of me.

sound on, in-game mp3 player on usually. Sound could be improved by (agreeing with others here) - lower the volume extremes, particularly kips - and add some layers of ambient sounds to help bring the living planet more to life.

I play with both sound and music on - sometimes i pop some music in the in-game .mp3 player, usually when digging. Some more ambient music would be nice, but afaik they are coming. :)

I don't have problems with the loudness of the sounds compared to eachother, but having more options for mob, ambient etc. sounds can never hurt (and more controlls shouldn't be too hard to implement, neither cause noticable slowdowns on client side), so "sound on but could be improoved".

For the most part no since I prefer listening to music (either winamp or ipod).

I do enjoy the sound though. It feels freaky turning on the sound on when I've had it off for days or even weeks...x.X;
