I wasn't trying to say this should should be designed and put in now. I mean they need to get the encylopedia working before anything. I just thought it would be interesting to see what people came up with.

Your fame could affect what areas you can enter, like the Secret kami oasis can only be for a person of +50 kami fame.
I would expect that bandit camps would have patrols to find people rob. Maybe have friendly camp and bandit camp patrols fighting when they meet.
You could have some bandit camps that allow you to do missions like kill another camp or player and bring back the dappers. If you got enough fame with a bandit camp you might a title like thief or convict, which you couldnt just change in identity. You would have to pay back dappers to the camp or players you killed or do missions for a civilization to lose this title. Maybe you only get one of these titles if you get caught stealing.
Some missions could be to kill players with thief titles, and when they respond theyre in jail or lose enough dappers to pay for their crimes. In jail you might lose some xp, but not lvls. or lose hit points on your jewels/armor. Maybe wouldnt actual sit in jail but respond with message saying you were in jail for 2 days and lost 20 hit points on your armor. Maybe in jail you need to complete certain tasks to get out, like break ten rocks to be released.
Perhaps we could induce laws like you cant kill harvesters in PR. Voting for new law could be like mini events. Harvesters could defined as anyone with a pick in hand, but if the harvester starts a fight then no law is broken if that harvester is killed. Of coarse anyone who breaks laws would be put in jail.

Back on topic... I was thinking about another game that I played a while back.. Lineage 2.
What if the afflicting skills were modified to where off affliction was anything cast on the mob, and deff affliction were "buff" spells cast on players... like resists that last a few seconds, or auras that can be cast to protect and defend your teamates. Buffs that have your melee do 150% damage etc...etc...
just a thought.

My guild, me and some members of Veni Vidi Vici went to the Tunnel Hounders camp. We killed all of them ( I think ), but we were not able to enter the oasis so i think it's still closed.larwood wrote:just a quick question for anyone that knows... is the Secret Kami Oasis open? I was just using the oasis as an example, since it's the only place that I know that might be just for Kami or Karavan.

Imagine playing a kitin. Starting out as a larva or suckling or equivalent in some deep-nesting region of the PR and then slowly *shine*'ing your way up through the levels as you hunt and kill mobs, plants, nosy homins, PR foragers, cross-country travellers and other assorted nuisances. Imagine your group/guild being the much feared Kitin Invasion into the homin lands...

Secret Kami Oasis used to be open, it had complete buildings and a nice lake in it.
There were no mats of any kind within the land, just a boss yelk, yelketh, with your standard q270 supreme drops.
I saw this before patch 1, I heard after patch 1 that yelketh was removed, and I don't know when the oasis was closed.
I want interactivity with the kami and the karavan. The devs/GMs could play as the kami and the karavan, and maybe actually bring some of their competition and adversity into the game! They don't really seem to mind each other at this point.
Also, there is so much kami love and kami type areas in the game, but there is no technologically advanced area. Of course you can argue that the karavan has its ships everywhere, but I thought they have been on atys for a long time..

Racial differences, but nothing too uber. Just make us little different and small bonuses that make us feel home somewhere 
Some examples:
All races have sneak better in their native terrain (reduced agro range).
Trykers have sneak bonus everywhere.
Maybe similar speed bonuses. Trykers extra bonus being faster swimming everywhere
Adjust individual resistance pattern for each race.
Slight regen bonus for some stat for each race:
Fyros - Stamina
Zorai - Sap
Tryker - Focus
Matis - Small bonus in everything
Slight bonus when using own racial magic (Splitting ele tree at lvl 150 would be even more fun though)
Slight bonuses for foraging in native terrain and crafting with own race plans.

Some examples:
