I was in game when I saw a NEW broadcasted MOTD that stated that ANY and all mats that were clearly being stored on a merchant would be destroyed.

To me that means that it is up to a player to see the stored mats and report it. Basically we are being expected to police ourselves.

Well they need to keep those going for a bit. What if I didn't see it and they destroyed my mats? that's downright mean. I don't have mats there, but I think they should give clear warning and plenty of time to remove stuff.

If you are going to punish people for what we never knew was an 'exploit' until then, then they should at least punish those people equally.

Now here is my problem with this solution. From time to time I will hunt for dapper. I get no exp but I do get loads of mats. I bring them back and sell them. The last time I did this they tweeked the shookies I was hunting so, I was unable to hunt them effectivly. I realy would like to just play the game with out this kind of interferance.

I have more money then i need in the game, and when I need supreme mat that I dont have I will go and spend 10 mil. And when someone needed my stack of supreme fibers the person actually MSGd me that "... desparation moves the business..." 2 seconds after my mats were gone

did i put them up there for sale - the answer is no; did someone buy it on purpose - yes, do i think 10 mil is a lot for a stack of 99xq220 supreme fibers -the answer is no; I spent two days digging them which is a lot longer then it would take me to make 10 mil (7 hours - clocked)

Rather you're saving your eyes or just trying not to be conned.....it....is....an....exploit. It's that easy. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Do you really think the people who have 99 supreme pr fibers going at 10mil for one mat is trying to make profit? LOL, You have some issues if you do. I'm sorry the ignorance in this thread saddens me. Its an exploit.

Edit - Yes you can take mats off of a vendor for the same price the vendor paid for them. Only to turn around and put them back up for another 7 days. That also works for anything else to put up for resell.

BULL! I doubt this very much. How did THE PERSON know who bought the mats.

Not sure what you are doubting Jack. If it is the "making money fast" I found a few ways on test server...while trying to earn money to...*TA DA* test mounts (on test you had to pay EXACTLY what you pay for them on live, AND the amount of daps that a new made character gets is LESS than that amount). There are ways to craft and JUST selling to the merchant NOT to players...make a mill in less than a few hours.

As far as quartering you way to a mill, can't say I got a clue on that one...never tried. But I do know that getting to 100k after ONE skill tree hits about 95ish is NOT that hard. I have started a few days with a tour, which is VERY pricey, since I buy EVERY ticket, even if I got the spawn spot as well. (I don't like having to throw myself to the carnivores to port) And within a few hours of grinding both craft and forage, to remove the last of the FEW dp points I earned, I am back where I started and ten to twenty percent more than that, without trying hard or "optimizing" my efforts for maxium ANYTHING.

I have also seen hunting trips that I went on, where loot flowed like WATER in Trykerlands. Where people were ASKED to loot, since everyone else was rupturing with loot already, and looting ups spawn rates (or prevents the slow down of normal spawn rates...how ever you see it). When no one in guild was online that needed the materials, wrong kind or something like that, I sold them...was enough to feed a little bit to three packers and mount(two units each) and have a penny or two to grind crafting with.

Lyran, you must have missed the edit. Sorry. The flaw in this story is not the having more money than you could use, even though 10 million on one mat sounds fishy, Its the part about the pm. How did the seller know who bought the mat.

"MSGd me" the guy who bought the mats from him msgd him back telling him that he bought them willingly. When you sell any item it says who the seller is, that's how make sense now?
