I have looked at jewelery, and if they boost my resists, danged if I see it...well I guess I might be looking in the wrong place, since I AM expecting it to show on its stats.
I also think that some people are interested in robes, having worn one for FIVE years in EQ...I say, don't need one, K thanks. I like how the armor works in Ryzom, rather than ONE piece (which in EQ was often an UGLY color, I will NEVER wear High elf noobie green again, real life or GAME, as long as I draw breath! and the stats were lack luster, AKA a Piece of (*$& ).
I would like to see the weapons have special damage, I mean they LOOK cool, but...aren't we a tad more grownup than OOOOOO my sword is all UBBER n stuff...DOOOOOODDD *gags* *brushes teeth three times*

Re: listen to my Rant
Another thing this guide does NOT state is that Dodge modifiers are mostly on your armor, while parry is mostly on your weapon.

Guide should be your first place to look on things like that.
So Genzod, I use shields too. What I guess you are saying is either A) Your 2h is stronger than your 1h. B) You don't watch your identity window close enough
And Danu, I honestly have no clue what you said during that rant.

mmm Tryker....
I agree with Danu on stat bonuses. Though I think to get the full potential of a 50% of Q bonus you need high quality. 40% for med Q, 30% for lowQ.
Edit: but I do believe that this would have a bad effect on the jewels of the lowbies.

Kinda hard to do when there are no med or high q jewelry plans.josephm wrote:a 50% of Q bonus you need high quality. 40% for med Q, 30% for lowQ...but I do believe that this would have a bad effect on the jewels of the lowbies.
Re: listen to my Rant
Yeah, Lyrah, about that. Weapons don't affect dodge or parry except for your level. A weapon cannot have a + parry bonus. Dodge does tend to go down with armor... which I mentioned in that guide.
There's only one thing that can modify your parry... Your shield.Dodge: Based on your highest combat or magic level.
Advantages: Will always be pretty high.
Disadvantages: Can sink like a rock from armor.

Re: listen to my Rant
i've made a pike of the suffix "of parry" before; unfortunately this was before the changes to the player screen so I could nto tell what exactly it did. Also it was from grinding mats so not exactly sure the mats used however i have an idea and may get around to trying to replicate it to see if it adds a bonus about your combat lvl.perrako wrote:Yeah, Lyrah, about that. Re: listen to my Rant
I was referring more to armor and weapons in that sense. Currently the only changes are durability.usinuk wrote:Kinda hard to do when there are no med or high q jewelry plans.
edit: they could always add mod jewelry plans. Also helps with the grind since the xp/mat ratio is the same.
