I think this invasion is what we've been asking for

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Hello

Few people foraging away etc in Knot of Dementia

The main camp is north of Zora our capital City.

A bit further north east ish is the Crafter Npc (on the edge of what might be a bandit camp with a few Najabs about)

The Master of Resources is between Zora and Lonview Stronghold and theres lvl 80 secretions in that area. Sort of on the edge of the jungle forest line on the map

wish we had cordinates figured out :)
and the light at the end of the tunnel was the light of an oncoming train...

In matis

Crafting camp: north of Psykolpa Knoll just south of the white line on the map
War camp: west of Psykolpa Knoll trading post again just south of the line
Harvest camp: south of Smitten Mount

By the way travelling along the east ridge up to smitten mount farm is not an easy route.

This is going to be exciting. I think once we get all the guard towers defended, there will be a full scale attack. We will have to jump from one guard towers to another until we find the Queen and take her down to drive them back.

Onwards Homins! Keep it up and get those guards to the towers! And be prepare to defend your homeland from the pointy pokey crawley things!

Just noticed a similar thing in Knot, a guard tower near the Master of Resources now has 3 Zorai Solders at it (was empty on friday).

And a little while later, I come back with some experience. Earlier like many others I accepted the second (the hated "clickfest" being the first) explanation of the way this event is supposed to work. However, I now question whether or not any gaurds are being produced. Irregardless of gaurds actually being produced here are a few things I learned and some opinion I just couldnt restrain.

In matis the craft master in the craft camp asks that crafters supply one of the following:

- 4 Parok vests

- 7 Klyde Swords

- 5 Slathe swords

- 8 Takod shield

In return for supplying one of the above a single equipment package is given which can be given to the armor master in the war camp. In return for a the equipment package the idea is that new NPC guards are created.

Its important to note that the craft master says parok vest instead of matis heavy armor vest. The craft master will not accept medium or high quality (the way it looks) heavy vest armor. The same is true for the swords and shields.

These are the only crafting items in matis that are asked for by the craft master right now.

If one was able to travel between the craft and harvest camp assuming the harvest camp was adequetly supplied with kitin secretions then a heavy armor crafter could produce 4 vests and get one equipment pack for 80 mats. This is an excess of 19 mats more then the 99 generic mats recieved from the resource master in the harvest camp.

The disturbing part for me is after working a good portion of the day and night with fellow guildmates in matis I fail to see any increase in the number of gaurds in atys. This was realy disheartening for me.

So as to try and keep the sense of importance alive (and my spirits up) I'll stop now and comment on the mass harvest in kami circle tonight. I was really impressed with the way this was handled and glad to be a part of it.

Tonight inorder to bolster the defenses of Atys specifically in the forest regions the mighty and clever Veni Vidi Vici guild took a stance in kami circle to supply the war effort with well equiped royal matis gaurds. With a large and skilled team of harvesters and crafters in the kami circle region of fleeting gardens the group proceded to produce as many matis armor and swords as possible. Which after completion were quickly rushed to where the tools of war could best be used by the powerful warriors and mages of the team. They exerted themselves nobly and selfishly towards the betterment of all homins.

These are heroes of Atys for there undertaking did not yield a title or token of recognition despite this they have done what is necessary. For tomorrow Atys will be strengthened by the increase of well equiped gaurds (or at least it better be or else).

**Edit: Craft camp has 20+ (24 by my count but with them moving around its hard to count correctly) royal guards there now. I think we are having an impact.

It sure sounds to me like we're not just supposed to relax and see where it goes.
That's not what I meant at all -- I meant if you're up-in-arms over the fact that the kitin weren't swarming into the cities in this invasion, just relax and let Nevrox DM :)
