Months ago in one of the dev chats during beta we were informed that harvesters would be key in fighting the goo. The fighter and the harvester would be side by side in attempts to drive back both goo infested animals and the goo. This part of the future of Atys has yet to be implemented. We can readily tell that since a) Goo infested mobs have yet to appear (at least not in Matis even though there are Kami missions to kill them and b) harvester stanzas for specifically dealing with goo infestation have not appeared (though this may involve little more than finding a goo node and digging it up). I have found goo in Fleeting Garden but it is little more than a forageable mat that satisifies a mission requirement. Maybe the rites that will come with the implementation of the encyclopedia will open this up.xcomvic wrote:I would like to see the only way to stop the GOO is by foraging! It would make an excellent EVENT imo and also put foraging for another use other than for grinding mats for craft...
Oh and Raynes..where was the vaunted Kami during this portion of the history of Atys:
After two years of Prime Root confinement, Karavan Guardians were able to reassure the homins that the kitins no longer represented a threat on Atys.
It was agreed that each race should take possession of the newfound lands according to their natural predilection.
Hence the Trykers settled in the new lake lands, the Fyros in the desert, the Matis in the forests and the Zoraïs in the jungle.
For the next three generations the four peoples diligently rebuilt their civilizations, joined by the constant influx of refugees that had risked the long and perilous journey from the ancient lands.
