"Chapters" are major content patches, which contain primarily new major features. They occur approximately every 6-8 weeks, as they take some time to be developed and tested thoroughly. Regular patches (which are always numerized, i.e. #39,#40,#41) usually occur on a weekly basis and mainly contain bugfixes and smaller new features.

You may be familiar with simple "monthly update" systems from other online games. We decided to go with this dual-system, in order to be able to deliver bug fixes more frequently and be able to react to feedback from players and CSR's more effectively. We have different developers working on our weekly patches and the chapters.

Hope this clears things up. ;)
OK, but some of the bug fixes listed in patch 40 are also listed in release notes for 'chapter' 2.3 on the ATS. Fixing them twice? :)

Since Chapter 2.3 has been delayed for a few days, the developers probably decided to just include these fixes with the weekly update instead. There's no point in delaying ready-to-publish bug fixes just for the sake of having them on a shiny chapter feature list. That would contradict the concept I described earlier, which is to deliver bug fixes as soon as possible.

heh im pretty sure people have been putting tickets in on a regualr basis about the empty prime root rescources but i dont see anything in the patch notes about them =/ does that mean there not a bug contradicting what we have all been told in game by the gm's/guides? the bug has been around since the tp bug but not fixed when the tp bug was?

There are more than one bug and feature that they have to work on.
Some more important than others, try to be patient even if it is a grave one.
Knowing that there is a bug, doesn't mean it can be fixed right away.
Simple bug, to detect, is often easy to fix. Complex bug is another ball game.

if only it was that simple lol i just spoke to turenkarn in game to ask him if he knew any info on what was going on with it he said

"im still waiting for a reply from the devs as to wether its a bug, to me its a bug and to the players its a bug"

this worries me =/ i asked turenkarn when the empty sources first got bugged and from that day till now the devs still havnt replyed to him? how are the csr's ment to do there job if the devs dont even answer there questions?

I was trying to paint a broader picture regarding bugs (and features) in the game.
Primary that some have higher priority that others. And that some can require a large amount of time and effort to fix.

Most of us are probably affected by one or another of the older bugs, and would like to see them fixes. This is probably where the problem lies, if we want a low priority one fixed it might look like that the devs are doing nothing.
And one way to speed it up, as you are doing, is to draw attention to it. Thereby we can hope they up the priority.
To me it sounds like a bug (or at least a skewed feature).

A "me too" and "I concur" would have been a short post, but that's no fun :p
