Ryzom

Every time I TP to FH, I crash. I reported this to the GM's and they said they would look into it, but shortly after I had a chance to play on another computer. Not once did I crash when I TP'd to FH. This leads me to believe I have a corrupt file or something. I am not sure what to do about this, do I uninstall and delete Ryzom and reinstall? Do I just reinstall and let overwrite? Do I only replace some files?? Well anyways, here is a copy of the report I always get when it happens (and yes I always send the report when it happens).

I had similar error messages. Tech support through email said:

-Run dxdiag and check for errors.
-Switch to Open GL from Auto (I guess Direct for you though, huh?)
-Keep running ryzom_recover until it works... and that was the last time they spoke to me.

In the end, the only thing I could find that would stop the errors (that occured only with Ryzom) was to remove one of my sticks of RAM. As I stated earlier, I am by no means convinced that this is a hardware error as it related specifically to a patch and it occurs only with Ryzom (WoW runs just fine on maxed out settings, thanks). Since I removed the extra 512mgs I have not had a single crash although even at the minimal settings, it is a slow and clunky beast. Much worse than when I first got the game before I added the second 512mgs.

If you want to try the reinstall files method, try getting copies of the 'unpack' directory, 'cfg' directory and recently changed files from the 'data' directory from someone else (or from that other computer you mentioned). Also, all the files in the main directory as the dll files can get corrupted. Tryker seems to be a huge issue for many people. After one of those bugs, the entire continent didn't load up and I was left levitating 5 feet over the water in a waterworld kind of landscape. You may want to get the tryker data files as well just to be sure.

Are you getting any checksums do not correspond at the pre-login phase?

to have ryzom do a full checksum test do the following:
then download total commander from http://www.ghisler.com, navigate it to your ryzom folder, mark it once by rightclicking go to files -> change attributes, activate recurse subdirectories and change date/time, then click current and click ok, after that it seemingly freezes for a bit, once it reacts again start ryzom and let it patch
