Help with Kclient - that stupid and not user friendly pc of software

Hi,

Today been a frustrating day. Trying to login to SOR but got a too many connections error. Try to connect via Kclient and keep getting a only registered user allowed message.

Btw, I'm a registered user and how do I key in my login id and password in Kclient. In fact, the thing bad about Nevrax and SOR is that they never give a guide on how to use the software. (eg. for kclient, says useful command /tell abc etc but never indicate how to connect. Try connect keep repeating the error message)

How I hate Nevrax. WHY can't they have a simple step by step guide on using the software they recommend?

Tried that and still not working.

I list down the step by step procedure and correct me if any step is wrong.

1. Run Kclient.exe
2. I get the Kclient 1.33 window with 2 tabs at the bottom left (system and main)

Things tried
3. i) Key in my user id by typing 'draggi'
no effect. still in main tab

3. ii) Key in 'login draggi' also no effect

3 iii) Tried 3i and 3ii but switch to system tab. get a invalid command

3 iv) Try selecting the Main menu -> Connect
in main tab, keep getting this message
<SOR> Login : 16:04:06 <SOR> Only registered user are allowed to login at the moment...

and this message keep repeating itselfs

Try keying in my id but to no effect.

Please HELP.

if you get the user/pass prompts and type them in properly, but get the error about registered users... there could be something wrong with your account. Did you recently get access to the ATS, are you on one of the trial accounts still, or something else strange? Do both tabs give that message to you?

Sorry I did not get the prompt. The moment I click connect, I get the message without any chance for me to key in the prompt and the message keep repeating itself (without me typing in anything)

For the system tab, it says

<Main> Try to connect on [chat.ryzom.com:6004]
<Main> Connection established ! [chat.ryzom.com:6004]

For my account, I have just finished my Trial period and now on my free 14 days for purchasing the box (The auto continuation after the Trial period) However, it is also not working when I'm in my Trial period.

Btw is there any client I can use to connect to the online chat?

Can anybody suggest an easy to use and free client?

try deleting the chat.players.us folder and "installing" it again.

I will have to see what I did that got me in, I got an error using my login name and IN game password...which was what I was told to use. I forget what all I did, I will figure it out and post it here once I do.

I wish it was all easy as input user name and password when prompted. BUT having been Beta, release AND tester, and having changed my password MORE than once...it isn't just that easy. For instance...WHICH password does the Klient have? Is it up to date? I couldn't tell, but I think it was...a week ago or so when I got in to ask Cerest a question.

You can set your user name and password in your Plug ins and save it then log in. TA DA. Trouble is that user name is LOWER case in klient and shows capitalized in game login, or did or UGH time for more coffee.
