Ati bug still excisting?

Post by haukutu »

Hello, I just started playing again (plaid from beta 2 till open beta) and I still get occasional "black screens of death" what sometimes goes away by themselves, sometimes crashes the game so bad you have to reboot.

log:
2004/12/07 08:52:59 WRN 3796 client_ryzom_rd.exe driver_direct3d.cpp 2287 : CDriverD3D::fillPresentParameter: Can't create backbuffer

I get these also. I'm using an ATI Radeon 9200. I also get moments of server "Probe" which sometimes hang my client for up to 60 seconds, and sometimes hang the client completely.

Is it possible to switch on debugging mode with logging so that we can work out a solution?

Cheers-
Oscarian.

I used to have alot of problems and could only play in OpenGL. I do believe they have done some fixes as now I can play in D3D. I do still have the momentary probe and occasional crashes as well but it's way better than the OpenGL I was playing in. The lag I had is essentially gone as well which I experienced in OpenGL. I used to crash as soon as I got into the game so hard that sometimes my computer would even self reboot when I tried playing in D3D. What mode are you guys playing in? Oh, and I have a Radeon Pro 9200 128MB.
