Well, the game manual (pdf) has been updated. Lots of nice info, much better then the original. I am sure there will be other guides to come out as well, eventually.

The actual printed manual is very hard to read. Small letters and the dark grey on light grey is almost impossible to read without very good lighting and reading glasses.

The game manuals are typically light in content... thats how they make all their money with official game guides

I believe the best and most up to date info will always come from players guides and websites like mine and others... Plus we have color

I'm glad you think it's an improvement. The NA manual was actually put online a few days before open beta ended, but by that time most people had probably already looked at the old one. I'd suggest checking them both out though, since they do have slightly different information in them.

It was supposed to be black writing on a very light grey background, but unfortunately the printing process appears to have lowered the contrast across the board. It's much more difficult to read than it was intended to be. The small type was needed because we had a page limit we couldn't exceed - even using the relatively small type we still needed to cut some sections short and leave some we originally wanted out entirely (like a glossary).

just got done looking over the new updated guid and its very nice thanks for the heads up. Though I didnt have a hard time reading my printed manual its always nice to have one on the computer to b able to pull up . Keep up the great work guys!

There is no strategy guide for Ryzom, is there? I can't remember the last time I purchased a game that someone didn't put out a guide for... anyone know if one is planned?

No, there's not. If there was, the Guys at EM/Gamestop would have tried to pimp it out to us 40 or 50 times before they let us out of the store....
