Fighters feint option

Post by gaspode1 »

Can anyone explain to me what the fighters 'feint option' is/does. The way I read it, it seems to be giving a 50 point credit which would mean you use less stamina (or whatever) in your attack. However, I could be misunderstanding it. I have been wrong before - I remember a time in 1984............. :)

I'm wondering if it is worth having but don't want to waste 50 SP's if it's of limited use.

with attack after dodge/parry you use the opening to attack using an attack = to the credit of the skill example attack after dodge 4 lets you use increase damage 5 for 0 stam cost after you dodge an attack the skill will light up enabling you to use it

with feint you create the opening yourself using a turn then you attack after with the skill you used it to credit (as far as i know :) i use attack after dodge myself lightens the stam usage if you get some hits in for free now and then )

If I put the attack after opening or dodge into my increase damage 6 stanza it just greys out the action and I cant use it. So its utterly pointless. If you have to make a seperate action just for attack after opening/dodge then it means you have to notice that you made an opening/dodge and then hit the action button. Thats so inconvenient and in the rush of battle not very easy to do unless it remains useable until you click it?

yes it remains usable till you actually hit with it and also if you cant see the big yellow word above your head during battle that says "DODGE" or "PARRY" then you should go see your optition :P

haha, mine is also yellow =)

About feint option I find it very useful when stamina runs low in looong fights and there is no stam-healer available... you dodge and create attack-opportunitys at the same time for almost no stamcost at all

Attack after dodge/parry comes in handy especially when using circular attack, as you are very likely going to dodge/parry one of the multiple mob's attacks, thus the icon for attack after dodge/parry is never grayed out during battle, so u get to use a circ attack that will drain a less horrendous amounts of HP and Stam :)
Am i supposed to write something witty here ?

No, if you dont take the opening in time then it will grey out again and you will lose it.
