Post by nemesiz »

Hi

This thread might belong under technical issues but I feel this Bug is so annoying that I hope If other pep replys to this post with similar experiences. The Dev's might actually focus on fixing it fast.. (YES .. I have sent a ticket again!!)

Just imagine... Full team standing i Thesos pulling Oxcy's.. the xp is good..the loot is good and team-chat is full of rude jokes.. and best of all your lvl rises fast. Quick break.. up to the trainers...U need a better weapon.. Expensive but U need it.. call for a friend .. he got a high Q pike.. nice.. he teleports to U .. trades pike with U.. BAmmmm U forgot in the fun and heat of battle that uer inventory is full.... trade goes wrong.. U get an error message.. Pike lost for good.. => Post another bug ticket and logs out in a pissed mode.

Hi

I have this problem ALL the time !

my solution is to destroy items in my inv until I can accept the item.

It is VERY annoying to say the least - I had to destroy 2 20k weapons the other day so I could get the new weapon.

To be fair to the devs, this isn't a bug IMHO. As Xorte says, you have to delete items from your inventory to be able to get the new item. Or if you are close to a merchant you can even sell them.

However, I do agree the exchange code could be improved. It would be nice if you couldn't enter an exchange if your inventory is full, but what about if it's only part full but the items exchange will fill it?

Until the items for exchange are selected, the code has no way of knowing how full you are going to be AFTER the exchange. So the only way to prevent loss would be to not allow the player to accept if their inventory would be filled up by the exchange.

I learned a long time ago (after destroying mats a few times) to keep an eye on my inventory and not let it fill up. I bought a packer and keep most of my stuff in there, except for the items I use for melee/magic. When I want to craft, I fetch my packer from the stable.

I also check my inventory before entering an exchange to make sure I'm not close to being full.

At the risk of sounding critical (I'm not criticising, just offering advice), you need to manage your inventory better. I guess the biggest problem is that it's easy to forget to check, in the heat and excitement of battle, before doing an exchange. I've done it myself! :)

So no I don't agree it's a bug, yes I DO agree it could be improved.

A particularly nasty version of what can happen in this is with crafting...

If you craft an item which will take your inventory over its max ... you are stuck ... you only option is to drop the item crafted or destroy stuff in your inv.

You can't trade or exchange as the crafting window uses the same 'temp inv' as the trade windows.

Unless someone else knows different :P

YAYAYAYAYA! That keeps happening to me all the time! I just made a little calculation and I wondered I didn't go broke by the dappers I lost this way! :)

I get a full bag crafting all the time and if I have a full bag and cant accept the item all I do is sell some of the amps to the stable boy and then I can accept the freshly crafted one.

I have to say this has never happened to me. If I either loot something and my bag is full, or I trade with someone and my bag is full, it just stays there in a loot/forage window until I have more room; I can either run to the nearest merchant and sell stuff or just delete stuff from my inventory. Granted the "run to merchant" solution might be impossible if you're doing it out in the middle of nowhere but still...
