Do certain actions allow players to use combos that cannot be defended against?

No, there is no problem of this kind in the PvP

Thats mainly the fear - blast combo. No way to get through. Also, the heavier racial spell, like Shockwave Over Time, cant be 'touched'. If a mage has a link on a fighter who is bashing in on him, the fighter looses stamina and hp with his attacks, + a large amount of damage every1 second. Quick deads...

try this one against a mage ..the poor mage will bleed to death ..alone ..

Yeah, you're the only one on the shard to have invul and melee aura, so the mage will be sitting ducks :p
Furthermore, bleed is not as powerful as it used to be in OB1, it doesnt take the Damage Increase into account anymore.
Lastly, most mages are also level 100/150/200 fighters, so good luck getting rid of 3k hp with your bleed/invul/melee_aura combo
