Graphics glitches

Hi all,

I have searched through the technical support but unable to find a solution to my graphics glitches.

First, I use Leadtek A360 TDH (FX5700) Nvidia card. My OS is Windows XP SP1. The video drivers is Forceware 66.93 (latest). I used Driver Cleaner 3.3 to clean out the old drivers before installing the new drivers. I also used Cab Cleaner that came with the Driver Cleaner 3.3

My problem is whenever I load Ryzom in either D3D or OpenGL mode, I get graphic glitches such as different sizes of flickering textures. There are not white but light yellowish colours. They come in all different sizes and patterns. The most obvious ones are the square blocks. Graphics glitches seem to occur in all four civilisations that I played; Zorai, Fyros, Tryker and Matis.

I am running the game in 1280x1024, 32 bit, 75Hz. I used the 32Mo VRAM (Low) setting for the video.

Does anyone have this problem or similar problem? It is some settings that I need to change? or something that I can do with my graphics card other than changing it.

I have found out (I hope so) what is wrong: it's my Kingston Value RAM DDR 1GB. On my motherboard BIOS, it auto detect the RAM as 400MHz and installs correctly, but when I downgraded it to 333MHz, the graphics glitches went away.

Solution: set it to 333MHz or change to a high quality DDR RAM, I guess.

If anyone out there has a similar problem, try this possible solution.
