A Question on Selling Items

I am having some problems with selling and was wondering if anyone else experienced the same thing. The GM I spoke with last night seemed confused as well.

I made some jewelry, QL40, choice. I used the Jewelry Vendor in Yrk, targeted him, sold the pieces and made sure that I had checked the "Resell" box. I cleared my target, then retargeted the NPC. The items showed up on the "My Sale" tab but not on the general tab for sale. I then asked a kind soul standing near the NPC to check to see if he could see my jewelry for sale. He responded he could not (there were NO QL 40 items for sale on the vendor).

To test my theory, I then sold some choice Amber, QL 40 to the Raw Merchant in the same vicinity. I cleared my target, retargeted him and, once again, could see my items on the "My Sale" tab but not the first one. Thinking maybe there were too many items, I then restricted his "list" of sale items to just amber and, lo and behold, there was my amber!

Thinking I may be onto something, I went back to the jewelry vendor and again limited his "list" to just anklets (of which I knew I had two for sale). Again, I didn't see them. Bah. Okay, I run to the northern merchants and check the jewelry vendor there, hoping maybe they would show up there. But alas, again none of my jewelry items were there.

I contacted the GM who was very confused as to why only my jewelry would not show. He said he would submit a bug report but I'm now wondering, is anyone else having these problems? Does someone see something glaringly wrong with what I did?

I mainly make magic amps and for seemingly no rhyme or reason, some of them show in the Player sale window as well as the Your Sale tab when I submit them to the Yrk Matis vendor and some don't. I have had trouble with q20s, 30s, and 40s but usually not q50s. I believe a q49 actually made it in just last night as well. I petitioned a GM too, but he didn't have a fix either. A lot of Matis players were having similar problems with all diff items and were talking about it on Region chat, so you are not alone. I don't know what to do about it, though. Sorry.

I think there is a problem with the way they are pulling the list of items. I have not been able to figure out exactly how they are doing it but I know it is not working right.

I think there is an issue with the way the vendors are limiting the items shown. It seems they are pulling a list of all items and then filter it from there.

Example of what I think is going on -

lets say there are 10000 items in the vendor system
Out of this there are 1000 weapons up for sale
Out of the 1000 weapons .. 25 are 2h swords

When you walk up to the Weapon mechant it will pull a list of the first 500 items. Out of this there are only 150 weapons in the list. It will then show you those 150. Then if you hit the 2h swords weapons filter you might show 4 swords out of that 150.

But that is just a guess at this point. It does seem to be a problem with some type of filter on the query.

I also had a similar problem last night.

I made a full set of Q90 +45 hp jewlery and sold it to the vendor.

I then made a full set of Q90 +45 focus jewlery (blew the pendant) so I sold 9 pieces to the vendor.

In the "My Sales" tab, all 19 pieces appeared, but in the general sales area, there were only 10 pieces, all showing +45 focus. With the exception of the pendant, which was the +45 hp version. As near as I could tell, the focus jewlery was "masking" the hp jewlery...
