Mini-Patch is up..love it!

Post by baldur01 »

So I logged in, went to Winds of Muse and tried harvesting again. I use q80 gentle harvesting stanzas and lake specialization on extraction. I'm loving my findings so far!

First attempt: Source mode 5, 5 mats of q80
Second attempt: Source mode 3, 5 mats of q80 (nodes life was low)
Third attempt: Source mode 1..3..and 4, 5 mats q80, source exploded once

Ok, so im loving it. Using gentle harvesting now is *very* gentle on the node..I've yet to try aggressive but im happy, I can solo again :) YAY!

Btw im lvl 71 harvesting, and getting 1500xp for 5 mats of q80. Pretty decent!

I have not logged on today, but yesterday was a blast. I love the new patch. Nothing like getting kicked around all over the place by wild animals. I enjoy the challenge. Previously I wandered outside of town and had no worries, it was too easy. Now as I get to the gates of the city I pause and consider the dangers far more. I say "Bring it on Baby" make it even tougher.

You're just lucky you didn't run into those uber monsters I was talking. Stuff half your level hitting harder than you are...

Well, im 75 melee. I tried to fight a scary clopper (normally cake walk), it wiped the floor with my face..hitting me for 650 and 300+ on normal hits.

Haven't tried fighting yet from mini patch but guild members say its a lot better.

While I agree that the mini patch is a huge improvement, I think that the combat is still to hard. I went out to try and work off the DP I earned last night (alot, 100k and I get 20k per death =P) . I was fighing scowling gingos, and the rare growling, what I did notice was that I was getting hit for 64(120) alot, but there were quite a few times when I would take a big shot for 124, oftentimes several times in a row. BTW I am level 43 fight, with 960hp and wearing QL 50 heavy armor. In any event, when I was able to solo allright I would be able to kill one gingo (3 levels above me) and then have to rest for 5-10 mins in order to get my HP back up to max, because I needed it ALL to fight one gingo. If anything went wrong, I missed one to many times, or a much lower level buddy joined the gingo I would certinaly die. I logged off when my DP hit 173k. I think this is a big step in the right direction, however it's not there and I don't feel the incentinve to try and work that DP off, because every attempt just earned me more DP. I really love this game, I think the art and designs is/are in-freakin-credible, the story, the world it's all GREAT, however I just don't see myself logging back in anytime soon, I mean thanks for the good shot dev's, I'm glad harvest is fixed, but combat is still at least a "little" umbalanced.

[edit] That gingo, DP aside would have garnerd 2000ish xp [edit]

The harvesting is INCREDABLE! I love it for sure! Reports from my guild members say that mobs dmg output is a lot lower and much more managable.

If we can get Mage amps crafting exp fixed, which i believe is being worked on, I'll be really satisfied with patch 19.

Thank you devs, lets hope that in the future we can avoid these issues.

The patch notes *claim* that mob damage has been reduced and their hit points increased.

This is lowered mob damage? It doesn't sound any different than the mob damage in Patch 1, and now mob HP have been increased on top of it?

Good grief.

The Windermeer shard is down so I can't get on yet, but this doesn't sound good in the fight department.
