Too little. Too late

Post by randoid2 »

The game had a good engine and no content.

I've been waiting a month for patch 1 to add content.

Patch 1 added no content and destroyed what was good about the engine.

Now there is an emergency patch (testing anyone?) to fix a couple of things, we hope.

Too little, too late.

The account stays canceled and will expire 11/9.

I've already uninstalled the client. I will need a lot more than this little patch to want to go to the effort to reinstall before 11/9.

Wow. That's pretty cold. I'd think you wouldn't want people leaving your MMORPG of choice.

I will give it a few weeks, but I can definitely understand this reaction in the saturated mmorpg market of today.

Letting Patch 1 go live has given the player base the perception that the developers have little to no concept of how their own game is played. Despite the fact that this may or may not be the case, it is the PERCEPTION that the developers are clueless that will (and has) drive people away.

Maybe you should think about why that is such a cold responce.

They put a patch out that had some issues. They heard the complaints and are pushing a new patch today to address those issues. You are saying it's too little to late, well what else would you have them do? Your post is unreasonable and you do not deserve this sympathetic responce about your cancelling. I do have to ask if you are so mad, you have cancelled, and you aren't planning on rejoining, then why are you posting here?

Oh I don't know.. maybe the same reason YOU are posting on the forums? Because you LIKE or LIKED the game and do not want to see it ruined (at least in your - the poster's) opinion. He has every right to post what he did just like you have every right post here. His opinion is not somehow less valid because he has suddenly cancelled his account.

Actually, this is the funny thing here. Patch 1 was never supposed to add content. That's patch 2. Has been.

Why do you post anywhere. You never have anything but useless drivel to say that's never based with any common sense or in reality. The last 3 posts I have seen of your has been nothing but trying to start flame wars. All you do is try to find some way to argue then want to call the mods to your defense when you cant take it. He just like you is allowed to state his opinion.

Now quit harassing people or I will report you to the mods and ask them to delete your posts...oh wait that's the silly childish statements you would make.

Patches do not always work as intended. The speed with which the devs and the fact that the devs responded at all say alot for this game. Look at starwars. The devs promised a combat rebalance over a year ago . This was side tracked to bow to public opinion for space travel. I could go on and on with examples. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I shall say a mmorpg with fresh ideas is rare these days. you were in one. eq II, same old same old , with sony at the helm , nothing new. wow same old same old. new wrapper. Ryzom is breaking new ground and I want to see if they can bring it off.
