several millions have been spent on the first marketing campaign this summer before they postponed release for several months. you are right, it's kind quiet now... but best marketing is always word of mouth. i hope this will kick in in the next weeks after the upcoming patches!

there has been a massive pr campaign in germany. there have been double-page advertisements in every major german game mag for like 3 months (gamestar, pc games, pc action, computer bild...) they had a beta client on dvd (not on the game mag dvd, they added that to the advertisement so - yes they had to pay for that) and so on... yes. i believe what i say.

my original source was a news-bit on MCV (http://www.mcvgamesmarkt.de/) unfortunatly i dont have access to the online-archive, so i cant post this news here. anyways, there has been marketing for ryzom, unfortunatly at the wrong time... thats what i wanted to say - thats all i had to say on-topic - i admit i am not 100% about how much has been spent on the marketing, let's say an extensive amound...
