I don't get why so soon after giving us, the paying customers, a shot at gathering more people in with our Buddy Passes. Guess we didn't get enough people in...

Re: Free Trial Open to the Public
I don't see it as an ominous sign, most MMORPGs have a trial offer, but I do find the timing of it a bit odd, we got the buddy codes, what, a week ago?
Re: Free Trial Open to the Public
I find this incredibly amusing as a while ago (two weeks? three?) we were talking about what could be done to get more players for this game in a thread, and the resolution WAS free trials, along with the prediction that people would be saying that ryzom was doomed because of a free trial so early on.pcheez wrote:free trials already

Thanks for proving our predictions correct.
Come on now, this is a relatively small game spread by word of mouth, mostly, and not heavily advertised-- what else do you want Nevrax to do?
More players are always welcome, and I'm sure the company shares my viewpoint in that case as well.

I completely agree, but it's still odd that they do this 2 weeks after buddy codes were sent out...caleinia wrote:I find this incredibly amusing as a while ago (two weeks? three?) we were talking about what could be done to get more players for this game in a thread, and the resolution WAS free trials, along with the prediction that people would be saying that ryzom was doomed because of a free trial so early on.

Anyways, I hope this raises some intrest in the game, I know the free trial is why I stared playing Earth & Beyond back in the day... hopefully it'll work out for Ryzom as well...

Re: Free Trial Open to the Public
Well, free trial is how Nevvy first caught me - during the last open Beta.
This may also be in response to some of the game reviewers comments about gamers not being able to try before you buy.
In any case, it seems like a good indication that Nevvy is willing to react to at least some constructive criticism.
