Hi all
i just bought this game. First u gotta excuse me for my bad english , then we can start.
I previously played SWG and Lineage2, and was more fighting then crafting/harvesting tipe. This game offers great versatality but the downside is that u can waste sp at skills wich will be "useless" later in game, especialy for crafters, atleast as i get it.
In this game i whant to be offencive mage/harvester/crafter.
Some things a dimmed to me. I whant to know what skills to choose to be best(no metter how long it'll take, tho this doesnt meen that ill be that high) in some fields:
1.About offensive magic: do i need to choose 1 spell branch only rot or only cold or only toxic spells and avoid everything else? Is it the way to rich highest lvl in magic or someone can rich high at more than 1 schools? Is there enemies with immutiny to some schools of magic?
2. Similar question as about craft: As i understand it to craft top items u gotta choose between armour/weapons/ammo/jewelry. What's next? Do crafter need to choose some type of weapon: only swords, only pikes or specialize in general melee and craft top swords/pikes/daggers? And what about +to stat skills? They cost 50sp every lvl(seems like) Do they require to specialize in 1 field too, i.e. +hp only items?
I got tons of other questions. This game looks great and unlike Lineage 2, where u can learn ALL ur class skills with no problem and Star Wars Galaxies, where u can unlearn skills and free space for others. In SOR where decisions u make got permanent effect and no way back(exept new char :-/ ) i whant to be armed and ready for challenges.
Tx in advance for any advice.

I just go with what feels right for me
you can create stanzas to have almost anything as long as you can allocate the stamina to it
i ahve an attack that has bleed and inc damage on one attack...but hey im a newb too =] i prolly gimped myself somewhere

Yes, some creatures are immune to certain types of magic. And if you want to become an offensive mage and think that you have wasted some SP, then simply level a bit in defensive magic, you´ll get magic SP for that aswell, and you can spend them on your offensive magic skills.
Don´t know about crafting and harvesting though.

Ok to understand the craft thing u have to look at the skill trees and as a crafter it will look somewhat like this: (showing Light armor craft as the example)
Craft (1 - 20)
- Melee weaponcraft (20 - 50)
- - ...
- Jewelcraft (20 - 50)
- - ...
- Armor craft (20 - 50)
- - Light armor (50 - 100)
- - - gloves
- - - arms
- - - legs
- - - vest
- - - boots
- - Medium armor (50 - 100)
- - - ...
- - Heavy armor (50 - 100)
- - - ...
- Ranged weapons (20 - 50)
- - ...
So when u reach level 20 in craft u begein to split the xp u gain, so u gain weapon craft xp when making weapons and so on... then it splits again at 50, gaining xp in the brances u use again... makes u specialized if u like, or allround.
Every skill tree works like this so u can get amazing amounts of SP if u spread ur levels out
