Mat spec no longer giving increased quality after patch

Before the patch when a harvester used a materials extraction specialization they could pull a q150 mat from a q150 source using a q100 extraction plan plus a materials specialization that matched the source. After today's patch materials extraction specializations no longer gives the increased quality bonus nor does it seem to help with the sources dying or exploding. The games acts as if the specialization is not being used at all.

Ok ...

Either there is no change control for this game or they are not giving us real push notes.

Did anyone else see anything about changes to harvesting? or respawn points? or who knows what else?


Cerest .. Please .. can you talk to who ever is incharge of patches and ask to be able to post complete patch notes? I always hate it when companies do this.

Doubt anyone can complain too much about this change, everyone knows the mat specs were WAY too good in their current form, pretty much guarenteeing 3k XP per pull from the moment you buy them. This is the change I was hoping to see to slow down harvesting XP, something had to be done, this seemed to be the most reasonable solution.

Right .. but they could at least have put something in the patch notes like -

"We are disabling Mat Spec untill the harvesting redesign in Patch 1 is live. We found this skill to over powered. "

Something to at least let people know it was intentional.

One thing about patch notes that everyone needs to know is that a company will rarely post the ENTIRE list of changes. There's a reason for this, it's called exploit. Now I'd never accuse the players of exploiting, but this is a common practice used by most companies to protect their game and the reason that most companies will not post complete patch notes.

I can understand that Cerest, but at the sametime, this is something people spend skill points on.

1. People who already spent say, 200 SP collecting these feats, are officially down 20 levels.

2. People who don't know about it until they read this particular thread might waste SP and bug support about the issue, wasting time and money from all sides.

So as far as things that concern us as players, and our skill points, it'd be nice to know.

What the hell. So, apparently I wasted levels buying mat specializations that are now useless? Great.

I know this .. I am not asking for extremely detailed reports. All I am asking for is that if something is to be turned off, at least let us know. If you are going to mess with repawn locations .. let us know something.

As it stands there is no reason that every forager out there will not send in a bug report to the GMs saying they are bugged and the mat specs arent working.

I wouldnt worry .. the whole system will change with patch 1. Not sure about the specs, but they will mostlikely turn them back on (maybe tweaked as well) with the patch.

This was an exploit? When you read the description of the skill it says:

Increase quality and reduce agressiveness and speed.


Note the INCREASE QUALITY.. ie, increase q100 to a q150 pull... How on earth is this an exploit? if its an exploit can someone fix the description? this skill sounds like it was working as intended...
