I'm downloading the game and I thought this would be cool but have some questions:

1) is it p2p or f2p?

2) what race should I start with?

3) what class is easy and better to start with?

2. The most human looking is Fyros. The others are ugly (jk)
3. I would suggest Melee as it will get you some extra HP faster, but your one avatar can be all classes.

Cro Magnon, or Neanderthal yes... *LOL*

They all are humanoid but vary in body-traits and faces, so it´s really down to what you like best.

Enjoy your stay and throw all ideas and thoughts of Classes, that you may have gained from other games outta the window. And while you´re at it, throw out all thoughts of Item-Drops, regular organized raids, long Quest-Lines and most other ususal trappings from usual Games too.
We haven´t got most of them (yet). And we´re proud of it.

The Mainland is not as Mission Driven ans Silan is and it helps very much, to realize that Silans Missions are above all there to teach you how to play the game and to use its various functions. Once you get to the Main Lands there are Missions to do and things to explore, but far less.
Some day in the hopefully near future this will in part be rectified by the re-introduction of the so called "Encyclopedia - Missions", which will serve as longer Quest-Line like hunts for lost knowledge. Only some of them work as of yet, sadly.

But Ryzom´s not about these anyway.
If you mange to find a nice guild that suits your style of play, you´ll hopefully get to enjoy the green planet as much as most of us do.
