Some questions about trial accounts

Post by abizmal »

Assuming that SW get billing working at some point.

What will happen with the current trial accounts?

Previously they were limited to Silan only and would never expire. This sort of made it easy to manage I think.

So now we have quite a number of active trial accounts, I believe several thousand of them were made available.

Will the avitar's be moved back to Silan?
Will they be given a Month or so to subscribe or get Zapped.
Will they be given a online time limit say 24 hours then disabled.
Will they be allowed to run around Atys for free but with some limitations.

Not sure what the best option would be but would like to know what the plan is.

most logical choice and i think we all get X number of free days before we need to sub.

Moving chars back to silan is not an option, some of those triallers are maybe 250 already ;-)

They might be treated the same as full accounts. Since none of us are paying and we all have full access to the game. When billing hits I'm guessing it's going to be a case of sub to continue or stop playing. I'm sure will have plenty of notice for billing though.

I'd agree with Catfud. Most likely, it'll be a case of trying to log in one day to get a "You need a subscribed acct" message, or somesuch.
